This 3 tbsp scooper does release quick and pretty clean too.
I found some cookie dough under sweeper but not enough 
that it caused any issues. Doesn't take much effort to 
squeeze so most younger kids could use. Makes a nice
shape when released. Feels really durable and cleans easy.

Worth it

I have had this scoop for over a week and am highly impressed! Progressive Prep Solutions quick release cookie scoop can be used left or right handed. Added wide thumb spot for better control. Lightweight with a heavy spring and durable hard plastic gears makes this a great addition to your kitchen. One 3.Tbsp scoop makes a large 4" cookie or fills a standard muffin tin. Dishwasher safe scoop can be used in many ways, from ice cream to meatballs. Spring loaded scoop sweeper works quick to release food with ease. Need this scoop in many sizes, works amazing so far. Right or left handed scoop that's easy to use.

This 3 tablespoon scoop from Prep Solutions works great! It's awesome to use for large cookies, muffins, cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, you name it. It is stainless steel, and I was able to safely put it in the dishwasher. If you squeeze the handle it activates the lever and pushes the dough or batter out. It works great to get you perfectly even muffins or cookies every time! I will definitely be purchasing another one in the future, especially if i can find assorted sizes!

We love our Prep Solutions 3-Tbsp Cookie Scoop! However, I had a 'tired brain' moment when I got it, and didn't realize it's a bit bigger than most typical cookie scoops- this one is 3 tablespoons, so it's actually perfect for those yummy jumbo cookies! I sometimes just fill it about half-way when making 'regular' cookies, and it's perfect! It's well made, and seems very sturdy, even when scooping out some nice stiff cookie dough. I made my homemade chocolate chip cookies, the dough is very heavy- and this scoop held up just fine. It really does make it easy to form balls and scoop the dough! Much better than a spoon and 'eyeballing' the correct amount. I got spoiled by it, and if it ever breaks, I'll absolutely get another! It's easy to hand-wash, or it can go in the dishwasher, and I love that the size of the scoop is clearly labeled too. I've even used it to scoop out coffee beans as my recipe called for 3 tablespoons! Perfect! And it works great too for muffin mix that is too thick to pour. I think this is a great scoop, and as far as scoops go, it's the nicest one and easiest one I've ever used. I highly and enthusiastically recommend it!

Great 3 Tbs Scoop! Perfect for cookies- & more!

I got this for ice cream scooping, it's not as easy as I expected but still using it anyways. I'm sure it's perfect for cookie dough scoop since it's a lot softer than ice cream, the release handle works good. Overall it looks and feels of good quality.

Large scoop

I received Prep Solutions 3-Tbsp Cookie Scoop for free to try and review. I have to admit that after multiple times to try and get the appropriate size for the perfect cookie this scoop finally ended my search. It's not to big and not to small. This scoop is definitely going to be getting used quite a bit, especially during the holidays. I'm going to give multiple recommendations for this scoop to all my family members who love to bake cookies.

Perfect size

This 3-tablespoon scoop is huge compared to the one I currently use. I've been looking for one to make the larger sized cookies you can buy at specialty stores and this is the one! Super easy to use and the cookie dough comes out easily onto the cookie sheet. I also found that this is the perfect size for scooping ice cream for ice cream cones or ice cream sandwiches! My only concern is that the gear is plastic and I wonder how long it will hold up. It's a hard plastic and sturdy, but I'm wondering if it will eventually wear out as the gear teeth grind against each other.

My family and I are big cookie lovers. We enjoy our delights in sizes that are bigger than the average size. The prep SolutionsQuick Release Stainless Steel 3 tablespoon cookie scoop is the perfect gadget for us.This device allows for larger than average portions. The traditional size of many scoopable items are between one and two tablespoons. My family likes larger portions. We often find ourselves adding batter or ingredients to add. excess to our products. The 3 tablespoon scoop allows for precise measurements which insures accuracy in every bite every time. We enjoy our scoop for cookies,muffins,pancakes and other treats.
Our scoop is also great for items like our colossal meatballs. We also enjoy our scoop for extra large ice cream sundaes. Bigger is better in the case of the PrepSolutions Quick Release Stainless steel 3 tablespoon scoop.

Big bites

I love the size of the Prep Solutions 3-Tbsp Cookie Scoop as it is perfect for muffin batter.

My worry is that the plastic gear that controls the scoop release doesn't work smoothly, even slipping when compressing and releasing the handle. I believe the gear will wear out quickly and make the batter/dough release mechanizing ineffective.

I give the Prep Solutions 3-Tbsp Cookie Scoop 3 stars because I like the size and that it's labeled with 3 tbs, but only 3 stars because I don't feel it'll last long with continued used.

Good size, worried about plastic gear

Value

Used it two time Thanksgiving %26 Christmas for cupcakes and the plastic handle broke on the third use at Easter. Past the 90 days so Walmart would not refund my money.
