i think most anyone will stir flour just a little bit into wet ingredients, to make sure that your kitchen is not covered in flour cloud. but, i only did a little stirring, to ensure no mess, i mean barely, partially wet, and no mess...the mixer did great. i am very surprized and thankful.

Is the slow speed on this mixer slow , or does it splash things outside the bowl.

It is very lightweight!  I needed a hand mixer when the recipe is too small for my large stand mixer.  It was easy to whip cream and eggs, mix cookie dough and icing.  Also like the ability to store inside my cabinet to declutter my counter.

Perfect for smaller recipes.

For the price this thing gets the job done and I even powered through a peanut butter brownie recipe that was basically peanut butter, flour, cocoa, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, butter and 2 eggs. That's it. No water no vegetable oil no milk to soften it up and it was still able to mix it all

I bought this mixer as a backup, in case my other hand mixer goes out. As it is an old mixer.
This is the first time i have purchased this brand for a hand mixer. I have had other Black and Decker items, but never their hand mixer. It is a brand name i trust. I have used it one time so far, to bake a cake. Let me tell you, it is amazing! It has a turbo speed on it and i hardly needed it. I was able to completely stir the cake batter on speed one, within minutes the batter was ready to be poured in the cake pan. This mixer is a little bit heavy, but it works great. Would highly recommend!

I love it.  The power level is perfect for my use.  Prior mixer threw food out of the bowl even on the lowest speed.  And what a bargain!

We use this to whip egg whites. The available speeds are on the slow side. We have to keep it on the turbo setting. It is easy to use and does the job.

It's a good, affordable hand mixer.  Downsides: the lowest speed is still really fast.  Low mixer speeds can obviously be replaced with mixing by hand if you're mixing in flour and worried about gluten development.  It's scientifically impossible to get a stiff peaked meringue with this thing.  But most everything else is great; it mixes a good batter in no time.  If you're not doing complicated projects this is a great budget mixer.

Great budget mixer for simple baking

One of the mixer blades broke within a couple of months. Another set was sent. One of those newer blades broke just today.  We only use the mixer on cake batter, pancake mix, et. Nothing that thick. The mixers are wire, and only lightly welded. Would not buy again.

The mixer blades WILL break.
