Not furniture, but a great product. Well designed and exceptional packaging, VERY heavy. Quality manufacturing and all parts fit. Directions are good but, go slow and watch the on-line videos to avoid mistakes. 3 hours to assemble.

It's not real wood but it is a sturdy and heavy file cabinet, 90  lbs. The only thing missing in it's design is rollers to make it easier to move around. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the file cabinet. It has plenty of room. You do have to assemble it yourself, which took me a couple of hours from start to finish. The directions were easy enough to understand. The only minor problem that I had was with the first drawer, I had a small misunderstanding when I put the side of the drawers onto the drawer front. It was a little tricky, just make sure to lock the sides into the grooves of the front correctly. The second drawer was much easier because I understood how to do it from my experience with the first one. It just takes some time to assemble. It is a nice cabinet at a decent price.

Instructions were good, all parts were included, and pieces went together well. Once assembled, it's what I needed for my files. I would buy it again. It's a nice piece of furniture that doesn't need to hide in a closet or back room. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Lateral File

The bottoms of the drawers are thin and hardly hanging on, so I would suggest not to lay anything inside if you have plan to of the bottom of the drawer will fall out. The parts for holding the folders up are not still but movable, which makes it easy if you plan to use the dresser in other way, but again I would not suggest putting anything on the bottom of the drawer, or it will fall out and break it. The directions were not as clear as I would have preferred either. After putting it all together, it looks nice and sturdy. Very heavy. But still a few things concern me so I am unsure how long it will last. I am giving it a 4/5 because to me it is closer to a 4/5 than a 3/5, even though there are a few things I am concerned with, I am overall very happy with it.

Worth the buy

Pros: beautiful piece, gorgeous in the space, bigger than expected-

Cons: one piece of hardware was damaged during manufacturing so I had to order a replacement, this thing was a beast to assemble DO NOT attempt this if you have little to no experience assembling furniture (I am semi pro and it took me almost 7 hours because the track lining hardware is tricky and the pieces are heavy), top banner piece is more flimsy than it should be for the piece. 

Overall: Satisfied and would purchase again.

Pros and Cons from Actual Human

The aesthetic traditional cabinet look is most appealing and functional in an office or home setting.  Very attractive two drawer file.  However the instructions for DIY assembly could be improved.

Good quality .. Satisfied Buyer

Front of the drawers fall off the drawers.  It is very poorly attached to the rest of the drawer.  Contacted company and they did not offer any help.  Had to go to Home Depot and purchase 2 sets of brackets to fix the problem.  Solution to the problem is to screw 2 brackets on each side of drawer front to the sides.  Then the unit works well.  The solution of the company is to wiggle the sides into the front.  This does not work very well and comes apart after use.  Also breaks easily.

Quality was not appropriate for a piece of furniture with moving parts.  Style and color were great, sadly due to poor quality it needs to be returned. Repacked it.

Don't buy

My husband and I spent two afternoons trying to assemble this filing chest without success. The twist lock attachments were faulty and could not line up with the  holes which were also a bit off. We were  concerned that if we did manage to get it together, it would not be sturdy with daily use. In contacting the Sauder Company customer service, it was decided  to send out more twist lock attachments which may take time to arrive. We keep hopeful as from the outside, it's an attractive piece of furniture.
