[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had to replace an old Kitchen Aid Superba that made it 29 years and is retiring to the garage. We designed our cabinets about 20 years ago to allow a 70" model but with cabinets above the fridge forgot to account for the swing of the doors and were limited to units with hinges under 70". It was a tight fit to find a one with hinges that didn't extend into our cabinet door swing. This is one model of just a couple that we could choose from. If you know you know.  We redid our floor to gain some height, and we bought this Whirlpool. On paper this model is a touch smaller in cubic feet than our old one, but it actually feels much bigger. The reason is because the unit is counter depth, its wider, so theres more fridge space in the front shelves from the extra width when you open the doors. It's brighter too so you can see more.  Maybe that's because the light on the old one was in the front and would get broken all the time grabbing stuff from the top shelf. The light on this one is in the back corner out of the way, but it shines at you along with everything else. I'll take that as an improvement.  The noticeable tradeoff is the single topmost of the 3 interior bottom drawers is less deep than the others and not what we were used to. There's also a touch less space in the door bins than we were used to, but the clear door bins is an upgrade from now being able to see labels on any short bottles. Overall this still operates bigger and feels like an improvement in usable space. For the freezer side, it also benefits from the extra width and feels bigger. We bought an extra shelf after we started using it to improve our organization options. The relocation of the icebin into the door from our older mode's location in the top section of the freezer shelving also feels like an improvement. That prime space right in front at the top is now usable compared to the older model we replaced. On the sound side of it, it's about the same as the older one; maybe a touch louder, but nothing we notice. When you install it and begin using it, its runs more often I assume to get caught up on the ice bin and water I guess. We got the black color to complete a clean look, and it looks good. Overall we are very satisfied with this Whirlpool!

Perfect Counter Depth

Long time coming

Ample space

The extra space that this fridge provides compared to a typical side by side is worth it! It's in a fairly narrow galley kitchen and it sticks out a couple of inches or so from my counter. So when lots of people are in the kitchen it's no big deal. Also it has lots of room, so able to store lots of food and enough beer for a party all at the same time.

Great for a narrow kitchen

Fits great in my galley style kitchen. See photos below. Love the lighting inside and the amount of room. Plenty of space for a two person household. Only negatives: paying more for a white model and the two week delay in delivery. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase. Improvements that I would like to see include one more shelf in the freezer and one more door bin in the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two weeks and all is good. I would say if you have a big family the ice in the door may not produce enough ice for you. It works for my wife and me. It makes a little noise, that maybe the ice maker, it's no big deal but you do hear it. As far as the refrigerator itself, it looks sharp and is pretty dang nice.

Bought in mid 2017, ice maker broke as of Jan 2019. After reading several reviews here looked at wiring at the bottom of the freezer door and sure enough, same issue in the same spot. Not that mechanical items never fail, but that is pretty poor quality for an appliance at this market point. As other reviews have mentioned, lasts long enough to get out of warranty period. As their corporate slogan states, “Every day, care”... until the warranty expires. Needless to say, I'm disappointed. 

Cosmetically, it is stainless steel but the fit and finish when it first arrived should have been my first clue that corners were cut in this one. Doors never aligned well and even had repairman tell me he had same complaint on this model and the doors are just not square, so had already been living with that since Whirlpool said it is not affecting function and they would not fix. 

Congrats on taking my money Whirlpool, I will actively be avoiding your products in the future and recommend anyone reading this do the same.
