These skewers are "V" shaped. The "V" shape design keeps food from spinning on
the skewer when you’re flipping or rotating them.

V-shaped blades, so they&#39;re neither flat or round but more like a flat strip in v-shape.  Very sturdy and also thin enough for hot dogs etc.

The blades are v-shaped shafts of metal and work fine for hot dogs and just about anything.  Thin metal but sturdy thanks to the v-shape design.  I have camping tent stakes that use the same shape and design.

The price of the skewers is good for the quality. I love the wooden handles for grilling. They are also long enough to roast marshmellows on a small fire or fire pit.
