Bought the futon and unsure of how it would feel. But once i opened and fluffed it out, added a waterproof pad  (Ihave rude cats) and a twin size sheet fit perfect. I used this on a twin size daybed and it fit perfect. Now I have a very comfy couch to sit on and very comfortable bed to sleep on for guests. I strongly recommend this bed for anyone looking for something for a futon or daybed. Built to last a long time.

Daybed or futon perfect

This futon mattress is fine for the price . The futon is cream color not white , i don't mind that . It did have some loose strings along the edges , took about 5 minutes to remove them . My futon did not have any odor . It's a good choice for a spare bed but might be too thin for some so i would use a couple of quilts for extra comfort . 1 thing i do not recommend you pay the extra shipping fee as i did because it did not come on time even though i paid extra .

A good value

It's a pretty good mattress. I needed something budget worthy and fast. I would recommend letting it expand before using I did not and I think that's part of the problem.

The futon frame I'm using is kind of weird and old so it took a little extra padding to make it comfortable. It does feel like a well made futon mattress. Packaged nicely, pretty easy to handle with two people.

Just be wary of your futon base, mine is slatted, and old so part of it shifted so I could feel the bars through the mattress but I have a down mattress cover from my old bed so that helped a lot.

You get what you pay for

Warning!  This is NOT 80" long!  It is however 76" long.  Bedding may seem loose when used on this mattress.  Also be aware it smells of oil house paint when it first arrives.  Those are the downsides.  Yet it is a comfortable firm matress.

Not what description says

It is okay for the price, but the description is incorrect. I bought it mainly because it stated 100% cotton filling, like the good old futons in the 80s. The label on the mattress discloses 65% cotton with 35% polyester, probably mixed with the stuff thats in the average pillow. The height is not 6 inches but 4 inches, compressing down to 2.5 inches when you lay on it. What I really dislike is they use plastic stays instead of the traditional cotton thread to hold the filling in place. Dont want to be lying on those hard tags unless there is a mattress cover over it. The chemical smell likely comes from having to use some flame retardant on the mattress, thats mandatory as a sales person explained to me when I last purchased a futon. It will dissipate in time and is less bothering if you initially put a blanket or mattress cover over it. For a relatively affordable mattress I still think it is a good deal and I may buy another one to use as living room couch

Okay for the price

Arrived on time. Well packaged. The cloth fabric seems like a decent canvas and the seams are ok.  The insides are fine (see photo). There is no actual tag on the mattress to know where it was made or what it's made from or that it's a Serta brand.  It had one lump across one end which seemed to be due to being rolled up which will hopefully flatten out.  I rated only three stars because it's only 5 inches (see photos) and is advertised as 6 inches.  When shopping around this was a distinguishing factor.

5 inches, not 6, but seems fine otherwise

Great price but mattress is not as advertised.  Surprised that is has a Serta label!  It has a strong smell similar to hay in a barn and the mattress is not 4" thick!  It is very lumpy, heavy and appears as if it is missing some stuffing.  There are also lots of loose strings all along the seams.   You really do get what you pay for!

Disappointed!

This mattress is advertised as 100% Cotton. This is simply a lie!
I bought the mattress because I want 100% Cotton. On the tag attached to the mattress it states: Blended cotton felt 65% and Polyester 35% (Polyester batting resinat) which is even worse.
DO NOT BUY if you want 100% cotton (which you should because polyester is always bad news, at least close to the body)
