Love the mixer but the coating on the flat beater quickly chipped.  From reading other reviews, this is a common issue.  I wish Kitchenaid would improve the product.  This is a health issue.

Quality is not the same it used to be. we have barely used the flat beater maybe twice and the paint is chipping like everyone else is complaining about. i expect so much better for kitchenmaid. I had a previous mixer for 15 years and never had any issues.

Paint chips off beater. poor quality!

It chips constantly.  And Im worried the enamel pieces are IN MY FOOD!!! I CANNOT believe this is the only option for my specific bowl lift mixer!!  Kitchenaid- you can do better.  How about a scraper and/or stainless steel mixer blade for our bowl lift mixers??

I purchased the mixer brand new shortly over a year ago and have used it perhaps 10 times since then. My flat beater is showing the exact same issues as others have posted in their reviews. It's frustrating that the craftsmanship is so poor that I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone currently considering it.

Terrible Quality

When will you make a stainless or side scraper option for the bowl-lift coated flat beater? Mine has chipped at the bottom like so many others and I don't think replacing it with another just like it is the solution. I've tried calibrating my old (but very functional) KV25G0XWW but it still hits the bottom and will wear out that terrible white coating over time. Guess where that chipped coating ends up? I love my mixer but I need another option for this beater!

This is the only beater available for this stupid mixer And it's the absolute worst construction material availableIt's made of a low grade aluminum that rust and when it starts resting the crappy low quality coating on the outside flakes off into your food along with the aluminum oxide

Piece of crap

Bought this in 2020 and after 1 year, the white paint started to flake off.  I thought it was just once so I continued to use it and more pieces of white coating came off.  Yesterday I found a large white piece embedded in the top of my just baked cookie so I decided it was time to buy another one.  If Kitchen Aid doesnt improve this, then I will have to buy a new beater every year.

This is the second flat beater I've had that's chipped.  I thought the first was a fluke but obviously not. Looking at all these bad reviews about the same problem I don't want to order another one because it will surely do the same thing.  Don't you have any alternatives to offer us?

What is going on with your beaters

My new KitchenAid lift mixer is not the same quality as my old tilt head mixer. If you turn it to high it will not start, I have to turn it on slowly to get to high speed and the flat beater has the white paint coming off into my food! I am so disappointed in KitchenAid

Poor Quality

I love, love, love my kitchenaid mixer. I bought it over 10 years ago and it's still going strong. I see all the beautiful new kitchenaid mixers that have been brought to market since my purchase but mine is still going strong so I see no need to replace. And it still helps make my parker house rolls the star of the show at thanksgiving. Yes, the enamel on my blade is flaking off, too. But that only happened in last year. When I first saw it I thought it was touching the bottom, but, no it isn't. And it's getting worse. But all things give out with time. It's been 10 years after all! I'm going to get another blade and I think this is a great product. Nothing is perfect.
