Center of glass has what looks to be like a machined aluminum "hub" that uses 3 screws from the mounting arm to this hub. No issues with movement. Solid and sturdy. Only downside is the glass itself does not swivel on this hub, which would help with corner mounting. Instead, the arm moves which is ok, but the glass swiveling would be better.

The glass has a round mounting plate fastened to the middle of it. It looks like it may have some kind of strong adhesive holding it. There are threaded holes in the mounting plate that fasten the glass to the swing arm mount.

A bolt through a hole in the glass, the hole is covered, looks good.

Yhe glass is held by 3 screws underneath the Arm holder. They are nicely covered with an attachment.

the glass has a round insert (LOOKS TO MADE OF ALUMINUM) its glued on glass and you screw the insert onto the metal arm, very strong and professional design.i would recommend to all.

There is a 3" round chrome-plated puck adhered to the bottom center of the shelf. The mounting arm that comes out from the wall has a similar disk. You put the puck on the disk and use 3 small Allen screws to fasten them together. The Allen wrench is furnished with the shelf.

It is shelf for dvr, vcr or blue ray player

this is not for a tv it is for a dvd,vcr,satelite receiver, although it holds up to 30lbs so it may work but may not be safe for kids, they may bump it and knock if off.i would not recommend this for a tv because of that.

the shelf said that can hold until 30 pound.It is not a TV mount but if you want put a tv it can't weight more than 30 pounds.In the case I saw that they have another desing for TV that don't has crystal but metal.

I'm not sure this shelf would be best for a tv. It would have to be a small tv cause I think the weight limit is like 40lbs.

I doubt that you can use it for a TV. It was designed to hold a Cable box or a DVD player or both.

Well, it's 18" wide (and about 16" deep) glass, so most any TV base would sit on it. But be aware the maximum recommended weight it holds is 30 pounds. Depending on your mounting method (into drywall, concrete or a wall stud) it might hold more, but at your own risk.

It is not designed for that use. The mount is made to mount on a wall suface. The shelf does not turn on its mount, it's fixed to the mounting arm. The arm pivots but that won't solve the problem of using it in a corner. If you get creative in mounting it you will most likely void any warranty on it and perhaps risk your equipment.

I think you can mount in the corner, or on the side of tv

Close to the corner, the glass turns on the arm as well as the arm on the wall. Fits great almost anywhere, you can adjust it for most applications.

no it will work directly in the corner although you may be able to get it close to corner but glass may give you a problem.

I would thank so. You would have to place it on either side of the wall, but the arm will swevel. If that helps you any. Do make sure to have a visualization where you want this shelf mounted cause it is designed to be screwed in to the studs.

I don't think so. The mount is in the center of the 18" wide glass shelf, so the shelf will hit the side wall if you try to mount it less than 9" from the side wall. Also, note that the mount is made to allow the shelf to swivel, so mounting it less than 19" from the side wall will restrict this swivel feature in the direction of the side wall. The back corners of the shelf have 3" clipped off to increase the range of the swivel feature.

Can i mount this in a corner? I am mounting a wall mount for my lcd tv separately. I was looking for a combination unit, but can't find any.

Bought this to hang in the living room to get rid of the big unused tower besides the surround sound and cable boxes. Works great, cables are closer to the tv that's over the mantel and more sleek looking. Great product and great price!

Great product

This shelf is very sturdy and made of tempered glass. It holds a good amount of weight too. I was able to put my Directv Genie Master box - large receiver, and my Blu-Ray DVD player on top of each other on this shelf. I love that it has a swivel arm as well. I will buy this same shelf again for my other rooms. This is the shelf to have if you want to position your receiver or DVD player in the direction you want.

Great and sturdy shelf

This is the 3rd one of these shelfs I have purchased. They are large enough to fit my older Motorola cable boxes on. The shelves are easy to install and plenty strong enough to hold a couple boxes stacked on top of them if needed. They also swival which makes them nicer for corner mounting. You may prefer a smaller shelf if you have a smaller cable box or DVD/BLUERAY player.

As with other reviews, this is bigger than the picture makes it look but it matches the dimensions I was looking for. If your looking for a tiny accent shelf, this isn't it. It was easy to install and the instructions were good. One thing to consider if using this for A/V equipment is cable routing, whether behind the wall or some other management system. Since this shelf makes everything "out in the open" you see all the wires, although that is not the shelf's problem. I would recommend this item.

MY ONLY "WISH" IS THAT THE COMPANY SOLD A CABLE TRACK MOLDING THAT MATCHED THEIR WALL COVER TO HIDE THE CABLES RUNNING FROM THE EQUIPMENT TO THE FLOOR.
