We road trip often and it's always a battle regarding tablets %26 lack of wifi. Leave to a good ol' DVD player to save us all. Screens at a distance, earphone jacks %26 no pressure to FF or RWD. Just quiet kids relaxing in the backseat. I love it!

Excellent for road trips

I bought the tv for my 3 year old and he loves them. I don't have to worry about him bothering me while driving.

This DVD player set actually exceeded my expectations! The picture quality is great and the sound quality cannot be beat for the price! I would highly recommend this as a low cost option versus some of the other expensive options you can't beat this value.

Perfect portable DVD player

This is a review for the sylvania 7 inch dual screen portable dvd player. It was very easy to install in my vehicle. It took about 5 minutes. I love how the headrest straps go around the headrest. One strap goes around the headrest vertically and the other horizontally unlike the last portable dvd player I had the straps on it both went vertically allowing the dvd player to slip off the headrest. It played the movie well. Loud enough for.the kids to hear it but my spouse and I could still talk to each other. Overall a great portable dvd player.

Sylvania 7inch dual screen portable dvd player

Well, we got this because my 12 yr old son is a HUGE pain on long car drives. The packaging was flawless and compact (which I like) and the items were well packed. Installing these is a lot of work (you would think not but...) the way the screens attach to the back of the seat is clumsy and leave MUCH to be desired. I don't like the bulky cords that are hanging between my seats to attach one screen to another or the swinging straps from the mounting system. I did find that you can watch on just the main screen if you like so I'll only have to deal with the cords when my Grandbabies are in the car. The DVD skips if you hit a pothole that's too big, so watch out for that. The power cord is waaaaay too short for an item intended to be in the back seat...I'll have to find a longer one somehow or buy a power converter in the back (which is just more crap taking up space in my tiny Chevy Spark. Overall, the Sylvania 7 Dual Screen Portable DVD player is a good product. Quality and finished look are there to a point. The kids seem to like it though, which is the important part.

It's got good points and bad...

This travel DVD player is a good option for the backseat for long trips. The screens are connected together and are powered by a car lighter adapter. The cord is not super long, so you will need to plan the setup if the only option is on the dash. It is lightweight and portable and should hold up for car trips. I would recommend to family and friends.

Dual Screen Travel DVD Player

I received this item for free to sample. All opinions are my own. I was so excited to get this item. This has been something we have been looking for for a while. I have children and they get bored easily in the car and this was such a delight. However, with technology being as great as it is now this was a bummer to use because I expected so much more. This is the same portable DVD player you would have gotten 10 years ago to use in your car. There is nothing high-tech about this at all. While I am driving, I am unable to assist my children with the device. You have to hit buttons over and over to try and get the item to play which is very confusing. It would be nice if this item had a remote to go with it. Also, it's not ideal for short distances. I say this because your movie doesn't save where you left off. It literally starts over every time you turn it on. That gets really annoying when you're just running 10 minutes or 20 minutes down the road. And it's not easy to find the buttons to push for fast forwarding. And finally the last thing I have to complain about is the wires. If you want to have both videos screens playing, there are wires that have to connect it is wires are not good to have around children as they can choke themselves or these wires can get stuck in the door if the kid moves the items. We've already had an issue with the plug for the car outlet as my daughter had unplugged it and it was hanging outside the door and almost broke. And, I had to stick another item between the screen and the headrest because of the shape of the headrest, it was facing up so my kid couldn't see the screen. You'll see this in the pictures.

Old technology

This item is terrible I bought it for my eight-month-old daughter to have something to watch while we are in the car and it never ever works properly it's a complete pain in my butt and now I don't even know if I can return it because I threw the box away￼

I was sent a Proscan DVD player not the Sylvania one I ordered.

Wrong item sent.

Not worth the money the dvd player continues to say open and plays for a couple a seconds then turns off again.
