The subwoofer is a nice change for me. I never had one before. I love the bass thumping music that it plays. It blends in with my TV. Same color. Easy to work the remote. The look is great. The quality is excellent. The value is comparable. I recommended this to my family and friends.

Got this to replace a LG sound bar from 2013 (still works, just wanted something with DTS and newer). This thing has great sound and plenty of settings. It's a huge improvement over my other 7 year old LG sound bar. Use it primarily for PS4 and streaming (TV, or Spotify from BT on laptop) and have noticed no input lag, etc. Using an optical cable to my TV. Way more bass than I need in an apartment; I actually prefer to up the treble which I love being able to do.

A much needed upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far we have been beyond happy with the LG SN5Y Sound Bar. It was super easy to set up and took only a few minutes. The instructions were easy to follow as well as the set up and operation. Now, the sound quality...it is amazing!! I wasn't really expecting it to be as good as it is so it has far exceeded my expecfations. The bass is strong and clear and the sound just cuts through like a knife. We have only watched 1 movie so we haven't really been able to test the full movie surround sound experience but the 1 movie we watched sounded great and I can't wait to really dive in and see how well the different sounds perform. Overall, for the price this is a great buy and I highly recommend.

Amazing sound!

This Soundbar sounds great I had a phillips but it was a lower end sound bar. I bought an 65 inch LG QNED SERIES 83 SO I HAD TO UPGRADE TO THE LG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The set was quite easy with the instructions provided. it took me about 30 min to plug everything in and set up my tv with the bluetooth system. let me tell you its everything i hope for and more. The sound is clear, dynamic and just feels like im in a movie theatre! I play music or watch movies and it just fills the room with great sound! you can change the audio levels depending what type of sound you want. It looks so good by my tv! i love it!

awesome surround sound!

I was excited to receive my new LG Soundbar. This was my first experience with a soundbar so I did not know exactly what to expect. After I unboxed it I looked over the instructions and realized that I should have it up and running quickly. All I had to do was determine where I wanted to place it, attached 3 cables and boom my TV was pounding out threater-like sound. Amazing that such a small bar can produce that kind of sound. It was nice that I did not have to pair my TV with the soundbar. The TV automatically recognized it and I can use my universal remote without having to program it. LG SN5Y Just Want I Needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When receiving the sound bar and speaker my fiancé and I were super ecstatic. Everything was packaged nicely. The way the directions are worded are a bit confusing but in all honesty if you know anything about electronics it's super easy to set up. The amount of sound and power this thing produces is incredible. Music on 14 volume sounds like you're about to enter a night club, loud but not ear shattering. The bass on the system is insane it feels like having my fiancé's car sub woofers in the house. We were able to play music and open my sliding glass door so my neighbor could listen to music while having a party. I would buy one of these again without hesitation

Amazing Quality

This is third change of my soundbar . First 2 was damaged within couple of month so can be exchanged under warranty but this time it went more than a year subwoofer stopped working. The only reason bought this is i have LG tv and it is compatible with that tv otherwise I wouldn't have bought it . Made a big mistake and this is first and last time for LG products .
