I purchased one of these bags a couple years ago, and was not happy with it. it was not big enough (even though it said it could hold my laptop). Fast forward to today, and I am very glad I tried this company again. The backpack is sturdy and feels like a really nice backpack. The fabric is very high quality and it seems this bag will last  a long time. There is plenty of room for school work / books and I will be using this for a long time.

Surprisingly Awesome Backpack From SwissGear

I purchased this bag to replace an Ogio that i liked, but did not have key features that I needed. I have a bad back at times so I wanted a bag with the slit in the back to go through the telescope handle of my carry on. I thought I would be giving up the pouch that my Ogio had to slide in the computer in without opening the entire backpack, but I was wrong. Thw Swiss had this pocket as well. I am extremely satisfied as of now and I just hope the bag holds up the way I expect it to.

Just what was needed

This bag is Amazing. I upgraded from an older version which is was Amazing as well. Some many compartments you get lost which is why I love this version just as much. Great job SWISSGEAR for providing legions and tags on the use or compartments. It shows you've been listening to your consumers. As a Six Sigma Process Improvement Project Manager..... I noticed the improvements and attention to listening to customers and the attention to detail. Great Job! Only issue I had was being able to go in this post window and make changes from my iPhone. That needs work. This window doesn't allow one to go back and make updates easily. Needs improvement but the bag is great.

Great features!

I had a backpack like this for ten plus years before it fell apart! I just got this new one and I don't have enough good things to say about it! Functional, comfortable, durable! I got caught in hail and rain with my laptop in it and not a drop inside! I am so happy I brought this, and so should you!

Best backpack ever

I have traveled with this 3 times since I bought it a month ago, and smooth sailing through TSA.  I love how I can unzip and divide the laptop from the rest of the backpack and not take anything out!  Lots of compartments with different "personality" to each compartment.  This backpack functions very well for me.  And it feels very comfortable.  Most comfortable backpack I have had in a long time.

Brilliant Design!

I bought this Swiss pack to replace a much older fliptop bag.  The Swiss pack had much more room for the items I needed to carry and it fulfilled that need handily.   Actually I wound up carrying too much so I'll have to be more judicious about how much I take next time.  It was a good buy!

Loads of room!

I bought this a couple weeks ago and it seems very heavy duty and durable. It also (just barely) fits my 17.3" laptop in the laptop compartment, which is awesome because I had bought a different backpack previously that claimed to hold laptops the size of mine that didn't actually fit it.

Great Backpack

I bought the backpack a few weeks ago to replace my prior Swissgear bag, which ripped after about 4 years of use. I love it, except there's some missing stitching already at the interface between the sunglass pocket and the outside. I'm hoping it's only superficial and won't tear further. Other than that, it seems very durable and has all the pockets and places I need for all my stuff.

Great backpack, but one small flaw

I bought this pack about a month ago.  My old SG pack straps broke and was just worn out so I did a lot of research before buying this pack.  

It is a nice upgrade over my last one.  More space and pockets for gear.  The laptop pocket is nice and easy to access (and easier for flying).  Only complaint is that some pockets are a little too small to comfortably fit some gear.  My iPad and mouse barely ft without a little persuasion to get them in.  Some of the back storage spaces are a little too tight for what they are intended for.
Overall I like it a lot after a month.

Nice upgrade for me,  few tweaks needed

I bought this for daily commuting.  
The good:
Strong zippers and bullet proof fabric.  Grab handle is solid.
The so so:
Cup holders could be deeper, but at least they have two.
Laptop holder only has side access and retention bar to hold it must be undone each time you put your laptop in or out. It secures with velcro which wont last long.
No rain fly.
Difficult to determine size of backpack when ordering.  Does not appear to be related to the model number.

Daily commute

I bought this about a month ago and I am very disappointed with the product. the bag does not open up wide enough and is very heavy compared to other Swissgear bags I have had in the past. Oh and returning it is a big hassle and you pay to return. The only word of advice is DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
