great DSLR from Nikon D610

This camera was reasonably priced and is everything I want in a camera.

I love my new camera.

Pros: Great high ISO performance, low noise through 6400

Beautiful Image quality

good build quality

Low light capabilities are wonderful compared to my Nikon D300.  I was particularly happy with the 28-300 kit lens that came with the camera. 

 The lens is sharp, focusses quickly and has great contrast.  I haven't noticed the distortions that have been mentioned in reviews.  

Cons: Not too many.

As others have mentioned depressing the release button on the mode dial can be a bit awkward, but really not too bad.

The flash synch speed is only 1/200 th rather than the usual 1/250th

top shutter speed of 1/4000th rather than 1/8000th

Love this camera!

Pros: Reburbished by Nikon has always been good for me.  They go through the product and thoroughly check it out.  Refurbished more often than not is better than new.  24.3 MP is just right for my photography.  The color is excellent.  A great entry level full frame camera.  For the most part, I like it better than my D700.  BuyDig always supplies great customer service.

Cons: Live View leaves something to be desired with long exposures.  When well set for exposure, you should see a clear picture on the LCD (as I do with my D700); however, I have found it to be consistently too dark.

Nikon D610

Pros: Great Images when it works.  

Cons: Autofocus quit after just two shoots.  This camera WAS NOT Refurbished, simply repackaged.  BuyDig.Com refuses to stand behind the sale.  

Other thoughts: I'm paying a stupid tax.  Trusting these guys (BuyDig.Com) was Stupid.  Not sure what the paid for the 'Google Trusted Store', but now I know that doesn't mean a darn thing.  I'll let others try these fly by nights out from now on... Lesson Learned.  Stupid Tax Paid.
