Is this guaranteed to work as good as the new ones. But on the other hand the last 245XL I bought at the store only worked for about 3 months.

I love the item but it the pricing is more than expected.

The manufacturer of these recycled cartridges obviously never tested them in an actual printer. The printer, an exceedingly reliable Canon 2520, which has always worked with original Canon cartridges, just sat there blinking, as if no cart was loaded. 
This failure to test, and subsequent failure to function is all too common in the "IT" computer business, where somebody just writes a test program, which is often faulty. This is very disappointing, and a waste of time, and a cause for more runaround! 
As of right now, I actually found the Canon carts, and whoop-di-doo, everything works again! I love the idea of recycled cartridges, but only if they are made to work!
