Ahh, my biggest pet peeve! It will turn off and restart at the very beginning when you turn your car off and back on.

Sadly no, we just experience that today. However, if your vehicle doesn't shut off the 12 V outlet when the vehicle is off, there is a chance that the standby mode will remember the spot, but that would mean there is a phantom load (so don't leave it attached if you let your vehicle sit for a few weeks).

It took a few tries but I figured out how our system would restart where it left off. Step 1. Press the STOP BUTTON on the unit. Step 2. Turn the POWER OFF (so it doesn&#39;t suck up your car battery). Do not unplug the system.

When you return to the car, turn the POWER to the unit ON, and PRESS PLAY. That worked for us.

1 DVD player with a screen. The second unit is just a screen.

It's only one DVD player that connects to a second screen.

Possibly if you spend another $50 on a power adapter, and an auto power convertor

Probably not. If the lighter itself (the piece you take out to light your cigarette) is the problem, then it should be okay. If the actual part you're plugging the lighter into doesn't work, then no, this will not work.

The answer is no, there is no battery on the player so it will only operate if the cigarette lighter works. Technically it is now called a DC outlet.

Do you have the ability to watch this in the car if your cigarette lighter doesnt work? ( I figured thats where it got its power from?)

I love my portable RCA Dvd Players I purchased from Wal Mart online..It works great and my Grandson LOVES it..I think the quality of this product is wonderful and it was so easy to set up ..I would recommend this to anyone.. And I want to Thank Wal Mart for getting this product to me so quickly..It only took a week and half or less from the day I order it to get it brought right to my front door..Thanks again Wal Mart and RCA for a great product..

rca 7" dual screen player

We used this on our long trip to Florida. Our 6 year old and 2 year old loved watching movies.

Great Product

Bought this for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter to watch on a long drive in the car. It works perfect as the way it's described. It never mentioned it played two different Dvd's at one time, so that wasn't expected and the brightness was fine during the day in my SUV. Love love love it!

Great for the kids in the backseat!

I like this DVD in any vehicle i have to entertain and often to educate while traveling it is fun for the kids .I came fast and as well packed .Very easy to use it included straps with velcro type latches .They fit great n m cars but I had to sew extensions on for the truck it has larger head rests . The picture is very focused and clear .Great buy great entertainment anywhere anytime .

Great product easy install !

Works great, set up is a breeze, powers off one 12 V DC car plug, and attaches easily to the head rest. The only reason I knocked a star off is that it would be nice if it had a 3 minute battery so that we don't lose the spot on the DVD when we start up the van. The DC outlet powers off momentarily when we start up so despite being able to keep it going when we turn the van off, we lose the spot when we are ready to go again unless we leave the van on.

Awesome deal for the price

Before going on a cross country trip with our almost one-year-old, we were looking for an inexpensive DVD player/monitor combo to keep him entertained on the long car ride. We didn't want to spend too much as we will only use this for very long trips and not for tootling around town running errands.

The picture is not the greatest, but is bright and clear. Unlike other reviewers, my wife and I thought the sound was perfectly acceptable from a unit of this size. I don't know what others are expecting - Dolby digital theater quality surrond sound?

Anti-skip function worked great, even over some very rough pavement. I was leery of purchasing this kind of equipment at this price point, but have been pleasantly surprised at the functionality of this unit. Highly recommend unless you are a AV snob.

Decent unit for the price

This is a horrible dvd player. This picture is attrotious, the remote control is too small and the buttons don't work. I bought one from Sylvania that didn't have a remote bot the picture & sound were A-1. And less expensive.
