Wouldn't work!!! Better look for a different pair. Smart to wear hearing protection while cutting your grass, blowing leaves with a blower, and using any power equipment like drills, tile cutter.....etc...

I'm going to flat out say it...sound wise these things are nearly best I've used, and I've used quite a few. If you're an audiophile get the Audio Technica M50's. If you want excellent sound quality at an amazing price get these. Nothing is subdued, giving them extremely accurate sound, though that does mean if there is any edge to a piece of music you hear that too. Along with the great sound, they are the absolute most comfortable headphones I've ever used. The only place they at all fall short is perceived build quality. They are almost 100% plastic on the exterior, and I don't know how well the band or the hinged connectors will hold up over time. I'm hoping to be able to custom machine a shell for it that will help make it more durable but at the moment I would not want to subject them to much carrying outside of their case or giving it to someone with an absolutely massive head, nor would I want to exercise in them all that much. If you want to quietly listen to amazing sound while sitting or riding in a plane or something then they're perfect, but they aren't for absolutely everyone.

Pros:

Sound quality is very good.  Warm, but not muddy.  Not top of the line sound quality, but good for the price.

The noise cancelling meets expectations.  It effectively cancels out low frequency background noises, such as fans, air conditioners, road noises, airplane noises, some office noise.  (Foreground sounds, such as human speech is typically unaffected by noise cancelling features, fyi.)

The earcups are soft and comfortable. and block a lot of noise themselves, without the cancelling feature turned on.  They rotate approximately 180 degrees, allowing you to fold both earcups inward, to make the headphones lie flat.

The detachable cable is a nice feature, which supports convenient, inexpensive repairs/replacements of the components that are most likely to fail over time on any pair of headphones.

The attractive, but functional carrying case effectively protects the headphones in between uses.  Includes a small drawstring bag for cables and connectors.  Looks likes a day planner in size and shape.

Cons:

The headband is the weak point of these headphones.  It is made of cheap, thin plastic.  My initial impressions were that this could be a problem, and unfortunately i was correct.  Despite the fact that the earcups can rotate approximately 180 degrees, they always seemed like they could break at one of the contact points.  In my case, after approximately one year of near daily usage, the headband snapped as i was removing them from my head.  Fortunately, i was able to return these and get a replacement pair, due to my extended warranty.  However, I expect a similar fatal result from the replacement pair, although now that i have confirmed a problem, i will be even more gentle with the second set than i was with the first.

Sound as far as quality is comparable to the sound of regular headphone/buds.

These came broken and click noise when pressed on ear.

They will not cancel out speaking people, only muffel the sound. They reduced deeper sounds like a computer, fan, road noise.

They still play music without batteries, of course its better with batteries.

You can hear noise right through the headphones, not what I was looking for. Wanted no sound or noise if I was wearing the noise-canceling headphones.
