it comes with a rather flimsy 'case' that has hook and loop closures to attach over a headrest. It's not cushioned or protective in any way so I would recommend a better/sturdier case if you want to hang it on something like that.

yes, but the bag it comes with to do this is sort of flimsy. Couldn't figure out a good way to do it in our cherokee. Not sure if it was our style of head rest or what, but I plan on buying a better bag for the next trip.

most DVD players will go to the default setting especially if you turn it off and on. If you just hit stop it'll hold the position but if you take the DVD out or you hit stop again, it'll go back to the beginning..

If you stop it and don't turn it off it starts back where you left off. If you turn it off, it starts from the beginning.

No, I played a DVD, turned the machine off, then turned it back on, and it started at the main menu again.

If you turn the dvd player off, then yes, the dvd starts all over when you turn it back on.

No not that I know of, unless you lose power. I used it for traveling on the highway and I remember that after the reststop break the movie picked up where it left off.
