Purchased this mainly for the CD player. So far, it works. Sound quality is good, but not great; not using the Bluetooth feature. Wish there is a control for bass and treble. Can get the volume only up to +32. At least it accepts, reads, and plays CD's that my defective, far more expensive other CD player (Bose) would not play.

Worth the Purchase

i was a bit perplexed how the battery included did not turn on the Philips stereo. i had to swap it with a Duracell. it seemed like the picture on Walmart demonstrated that the surface was metal not plastic. the sound is quite excellent. the cd player operates without any conflict. i am getting adjusted to the bare bones features.

Technology for the Simple Minded

The radio and the CD player play very loudly, but when playing songs through an app with the Bluetooth connection, I have to turn up full blast, and it still isn't loud enough.  I primarily listen to music through apps, so I'm very disappointed. I would return it, but I already threw the box away.

The Bluetooth connection sounds terrible

I bought it to play Cds . I played a CD , next day I tried to play another and another etc ...about 25 discs just to make sure.The LED read 'No Disc' everytimenothing would play I even tried the Cd that played when I set it up, that would not play either . I suggest Philips move their assembly factoryback to Holland .BUYER BEWARE .

It died after 1 CD play

I'm not that happy it what so ever the sound quality is not that great at all and when you be working with the mp3 player lest to find your music lest you can't find what you are looking for they could have made it more easy for people ingany . The speaker are like should box sound ok .
I think that Phillps could have made the speaker much better ok .

Not happy with this experience with this idin .

This stereo is cheaply constructed. I've had it a couple of months and one speaker is already becoming static.The remote is worthless and it was pretty impossible to program FM stations. I use this mostly for listening to NPR and occasionally an old favorite CD, but again the remote and the button on the device won't open/close tray and I have to give it a little push to close. So I'm out a chunk of cash for a bad system. Don't buy this!

Cheap

Ordered this expectingit to work when I got it. Out of the box it did not work other than the remote could turn it on but not off. Everything else failed.Got the return authorization and sent it back the next day. It took 30 days, multiple emails and threats to third party vendor to get my refund. I can understand the product not working as things do happen but I cannot accept the lack of customer service and communication related to the refund.

Did not work and refund took forever

I did not like sound I could barely hear even up to 30. Instructions in different languages an not in English..
