6 ohms responds extremely well and that is what they&#39;re rated from the factory. Your typical 2-channel up to 5.2 or 7.1 channel receiver/amplifier from Sony would be plenty to get what you&#39;d need from these as they are generally a 6-ohm rated amplifier.

They come as one (1) speaker, you would need to order (2) in the drop down menu to order two speakers. Do it. Right now. You won&#39;t regret it.

CV has always provided good products. I'm running (4) XLS-6 with (1) XLS-6C and (1) XLS-12 subwoofer, all being powered through a Sony STR-DH550 - AV receiver - 5.2 channel (available at Walmart). The receiver is rated for 6 ohms and the impedance of these speakers are 6 ohms and the power distribution is great for a reasonably budgeted home-theater system. It's certainly enough to wake up Call of Duty, Music, and my personal favorite - Smaug the Dragon. Even with the XLS-12 turned completely off and unplugged, you'll be extremely pleased at the overall clarity the XLS-6 puts out as well as it's response to low frequencies, and the 6C completes it for a very well rounded system across the board. I highly recommend the XLS series, and you could easily run this exact set up for under $1,750 if purchased from Wal-Mart.

These Cerwin Vega speakers are great to listen to music and tutorials. Great sound for this size!!! I have the professional dj and pro sound speakers and finally Cerwin Vega has home style monitor speakers. If you buy these pair, you will need to buy the Cerwin Vega Bass speaker as well to get that full sound in your room.  
*** I hope Cerwin Vega makes the 8 inch 2-way monitors in near future!!!.

I  purchased two of these speakers from Walmart.com on May 1, 2019.  I am disappointed with the speakers.  The high frequency response is very poor even when I turn the treble all the way up on my amplifier.  The highs are lacking and the sound is muffled.  I have the same problem with both speakers.  The bass and mids are very good.  I bought two Polk Audio RTi A3 Bookshelf Speakers and the highs are great.  I am going to return the XLS-6 s to Walmart.
