I bought this player, because it is automatic Dolby Vision. I have a Sony Player that has Dolby Vision but it is Manual, you have to turn the Dolby Vision on and off yourself in the Video settings, This player is much better, mainly for that reason. Great Features

Setup menu displayed correctly, but when I tried to open Netflix I got a blank screen.  Seemed like the video was cycling through various resolution formats, but none would display correctly.

The problem was I was trying to use a very old TV (16 years old).  Older TVs cannot identify themselves via the HDMI cable that they are not capable of recording.  Newer devices, like the UBK90 DVD player, will not output HDMI video if they cannot determine that the connected device is a TV.  This is because newer devices enforce copyright restrictions per the HDCP standard.

No problem with the UBK90.  But now I need to buy a modern TV!

lg ubk90 puts out beautiful pictures and fantastic color spectrum. best part is the hdmi 2 audio only output that supports dolby atmos, which I can send directly to my av receiver without having to buy a new receiver.  bluray player hooked directly to lg oled tv via hdmi 1 output. works well together. I bought it six months ago. As I expected, the device is excellent. LG continues the tradition of good players. I have some older models and I'm happy with them. One of the few devices on the market that gives the option of choosing the font size in translation. Also, when watching formats such as MKV, MP4, MOV, etc. you can directly enter the time on the video where you want to start watching. So great player. For now, it's a rare place with these options.

Great featurrs

Bought in October this year.  It was easily set up and picture was extremely clear, audio excellent.  LG makes a very good DVD Blue Ray Player. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Extra clear picture with multiple features

This is an average player in terms of features. The UHD picture quality is very good and so is the up-scaling. The menu system is quite dated and does not match the WebOS TV product line. Wait till this goes on sale do not pay full price.

Positives: 
- HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.
- good upscaling
- Multiple HDMI support
- Quiet operation

Cons: 
- Forced Dolby Vision in Netflix issue on LG OLEDs. All content is played with DV on regardless of whether it is SDR, or HDR ( Firmware update? )
- Remote uses IR and requires direct line of sight to the player
- Very old interface only supports Netflix and Youtube, cannot install other apps

Good for UHD and Blu-Ray playback.
