There was no cd in the package, but we did not need one. The computer recognized the speakers immediately.

No. You just plug them into an open USB port on your computer and you're good to go!

No CD needed. Windows will locate the speakers in the USB plug and take over the installation and add the required driver automatically.

No. There is no CD that comes with it. Once you plug the USB into whatever computer you are using, it will auto download the drivers right from the speakers. I plugged them into my Windows 7 Ultimate laptop and drivers were installed within 10 secs.

Most drivers are located at the companies web site.

Does this speaker package come with a CD to install that driver thats mentioned in specifications?

No, there is no headphone jack on the speakers

No. Only drawback I would say. Which makes it kind of tricky if you want to use headphones with the speakers still connected.

There is no headphone jack on either speaker, however, the speakers only use a usb port so the headphone jack on your computer would still be available but i do not know if both the speakers and headphone jack on your computer would work at the same time.

It should - it did mine, though the first time I had to restart my computer for some reason for it to take. Ever since then I haven't had to restart it, it just starts working when I plug it in.

Yes they will bypass your laptop speakers once you plug them into the laptop speaker jack. Nothing more needs to be done, they will work automaticaly.

A definite yes. I got these speakers for similar reasons. My onboard Realtek sound chip got fried and I needed a USB speaker with onboard drivers to bypass my internal speakers. Plugged this in and worked like a champ in under 10 seconds running Windows 7 Ultimate.

Yes, I have been very pleased with them! My laptop didn't have a regular plug-in spot, so the USB cord was all I could use...love these speakers...they serve their purpose!

They bypassed the speakers on my netbook and if you have windows xp or a latter windows operating system, they should also override your laptop speakers.

I think this would bypass your old scratchy speakers. My Netbook just had speakers that were too soft to be useful.
