Took some getting used to - having the wrist support move with you - but once the novelty feeling wears off this is a very comfortable support. It would be nicer if the rest had a more cloth-feel to it instead of the generic gel-in-plastic but, speaking for all the carpal tunnel syndrome sufferers out there, I would strongly recommend this wrist-rest.
I have not used it long enough to comment on longevity but - going by other similarly constructed gel supports - I would give this 2-3 years before the plastic starts to degrade. Am willing to be proved wrong.

The gel glider is exactly what I needed. I was working for long sessions on the computer and a stationary gel-mouse pad combo was getting in the way of the more creative software use. I use it on a regular mouse-pad though because not only is the pad I already have decorative and I prefer it, but the one that comes with the gel-glide is very thin and made of a hard plastic. I do not like it at all. Also, the gel-glide comes with two elastic bands meant to hold the glide to the mouse. I threw these out and find that they were just not necessary. The heal of my palm keeps the glide in place just fine. I am very happy with this purchase and it has saved my hand from quite a bit of pain. It is worth the money I spent. I gave it four stars because of the pad that it comes with.

exactly what I was looking for

I purchased this wrist support mouse pad for several reasons - color, appearance, Cute-Factor (that is an important to me,) and wrist support. After using it daily for several weeks, I discovered it actually is painful to rest my wrist on the split in the gel pad support. I also exerience pain when I try to situate my palm on the pad while using my mouse. It is still cute. It is still purple. It still looks nice on my desktop. But it does not serve the functionality purpose for which I bought it.

Disappointed

I really like the gel pad and the color but I've had it 6 mos and it's come unglued as well as worn out from where the mouse is used.
