I love these running shoes and the on-line purchase was great. The shoes never hurt my feet even when I do long runs!!!

My son goes to physical therapy weekly. These shoes give him comfort and stability during his workout. He also likes the bright colors on the shoes.

Great even for regular workouts as well as running!

Love the shoes, great fit and the stretch is nice. The only thing that wasn't great about the experience was ordering them from Mizuno.com. They don't communicate until the item has shipped, so there's no way to know that they've received your order. That needs to be cleaned up a bit.

Nice redesign

use as running shoe. very good shoe. only issue I have is a bit narrow in mid-section of shoe. however it is the only shoe that I can wear that doesn't hurt my calluses to much. I have them on the outer side mid-foot of each foot.

The shoes were great but just a bit big for my son. It cost me $15 to return the shoes. I honestly, I will not buy any more shoes from you because of the return mail cost. I can't tell you how nice it is when companies have free returns. Just saying. Thank you.Cindy H

Return fee should be waived

I really just wanted to comment on the Waveknit upper of the R2. Its simply one of the most comfortable uppers I've ever tried. Its soft and supple while being supportive at the same time. I had read other reviews about the upper needing some break-in time to conform to the foot, but for me it has been great from the word go. The sole feels standard issue for anyone who has worn a Wave Rider in the past. Chunky heel with lots of cushion. Hey Mizuno - bring back the old Wave Catalyst with this upper and I'll throw in another star!

Knit Upper Goodness

Bought this pair of shoes, because I have bought Mizuno in the past. Was expecting a greater degree of stability. Somehow it seems as though the waveknit technology is counter intuitive to the premise of stability. They are comfortable for walking, but lacking in platform stability for running, imho.

Do your research

Didn't really care for the shoe so I sent it back. I should have ordered the regular wave rider instead. The most disappointing part was that Mizuno USA doesn't offer free returns on shoes like most online retailers and I had to pay the shipping to sent the shoes back.

Would not buy again

Purchased the white model. Amazing looking shoe - great design, especially compared to all the space-age looking overly rubberized/ foam shoes out there today. Five stars for the design. When it comes to strapping your foot in, the shoe doesn't measure up. It has a "stretch" upper that just can't be tightened down enough to keep your foot from sliding forward, even when walking slightly downhill. Bummed they cost so much.

Doesn't secure your foot very well - especially for running!
