I am 5'3” and 127lbs. I ordered the Miami color. It is so bright and cheerful on a gloomy day. The jacket is light enough to put in a tote bag when the weather is questionable. Hope this is helpful!!

Nice Light Weight Jacket

I needed a waterproof shell for hiking & had my eye on the switchback III. I wore it today in a downpour and watched the water bead right off, yet it breathed nicely. It is nicely fitted but generous enough for an underlying fleece. Velcro on the sleeves make wrists snug and dry. When the hood is secured in the collar, rain can drip down your neck, so wear a good hat if you're not putting up the hood.

The jacket is thin but sturdy and I love how I can fold the hood into the collar AND fold the whole jacket into one of the pockets. I had my last Colombia rain jacket for over 6 years and I'm sure I'll get even more life out of this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received my jacket today.  Bought for frequent travel to the Bahamas in our private plane. Needed something rainproof & extremely light weight for ferry trips to & from the airport. Great fit, true to size & very light weight. Like that it has a hood attached & is packable. I plan to carry in my travel tote. Packs within itself like pictured, but not easily & the jacket ends up jumbled into a ball. This why I'm only giving it 4 stars. Sort of expensive for the quality, but it will serve my personal needs.

Great lightweight jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this without using the slides at the sides of the hood and I couldn't keep the hood from blowing off. That said, once the hood is adjusted, you can make it fit pretty snug and it does cover the entire head. I recommend adjusting the hood before you go out in rain or wind. I ordered this a size larger than normal, size Small (112 pounds 36B) so that I can wear a heavy fleece underneath. This jacket has no lining so it is a rain/wind jacket only. It would be better if it had a lining to enhance warmth. It could also be a bit longer to protect your entire bottom. I ordered Dark Nocturnal which is a rich navy color and the value for the price is excellent.

Adjust the hood before you need it

I bought this jacket because I wanted to match my daughter. I got the last one in Aqua Haze, but when I received it, it had an ink stain on it. I bought it to match my daughter, and got the last one in Aqua Haze, so I really didn't want to send it back. There weren't many options available other than to just send it back. A little disappointed but it seems like a nice jacket! Very cute.

Came Damaged

It doesn't look very waterproof because the seams are not sealed. Luckily I live in Seattle and even though we rain a lot but they are mostly drizzles.

Not as described

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The description in the website said this jacket had a liner. The jacket I received, did not have any liner and is see through. It's not waterproof, it's water resistant. It's more like a windbreaker, than a rain jacket. Fit and color are as described.

Jacket Did Not Have Liner;Not Waterproof

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a very light shell I could throw on when it was just a tiny bit too warm to wear my trusty Acadia jacket (lined) in a pop up storm. I bought the raspberry one. This one is light and waterproof, and it is fine when wearing a light long sleeve layer underneath. The first time I wore this with short sleeves, I took a five minute walk down the block in 60 degree humid weather, and the jacket was damp with sweat. I wore it in 60 degree weather in a torrential downpour. It kept me dry, but I soon ended up indoors in a somewhat warm crowded hallway for five minutes to avoid hail. I was dripping with sweat when I left. It looked like I had been rained upon. Gross. It is NOT BREATHABLE AT ALL. There is no lining. It is waterproof, but it feels like I've been rained upon inside my jacket if any amount of warmth from my skin touches the jacket.. As such, I won't be able to wear this when I am hiking around and actually exerting physical effort. I have a lot of trusty Columbia gear. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed with a purchase.

Not breathable - can't wear with short sleeves

This jacket is cute and I liked that it could fold into it's own pocket for storage, but it isn't waterproof! I wore this in moderate rain without an umbrella for 15 minutes and it was completely soaked through. I only bought this because I need a rain jacket but unfortunately it's completely useless - it definitely cannot "withstand a downpour at a moment's notice" as the description states.
