I love the driver series I got my first one from a friend that purchased it cause i helped her in college....i used this bag from 2004 until I took my last class in 2011 this bag never failed held books project  clothes for a quick ttrips everything. i decided to go back to school pulled out pinky after my first day i notice my wheel was broken mailed in my bag they couldn't fix it and help me pick out my new bag "The Blue Matrix" im back gonna make new memories with this new smooth bag very spacious no charge thank you so much to Jansport warranty department

Due to a recent back injury I had to invest in a rolling backpack for work. The prices and reviews on comparable products were not lining up and I've had excellent luck with Jansport before, so I decided to invest in one (and get a very cute space theme that has been complimented several times). The best part of the bag is the height of the handle. I don't have to stoop and can hold the bag in front or back of me with relative ease even when its not fully extended (for reference I'm 5'5"). The wheels sound a little shaky on gravel, so I'll be keeping an eye on them, but for the most part it works great and fits my laptop and lunchbag. The sizing because of the wheels is a little too big to fit in my desk's large bottom drawer is probably my only complaint.

Jansport Quality in Convenient Roller

I bought this Driver 8 rolling backpack to replace the one I had bought for my daughter three years ago. She desperately needed a rolling backpack due to the amount of books she had to carry in 6th grade. Once she got to junior high, she no longer needed it, so I gave it to my 4th grade son. He used it for one year, and well used it was! By the time I replaced it, it was so well worn that I knew it couldn't be fixed. This new one is in my son's favorite color, red, and has exactly what the last one had--everything! The wheels are quiet and fast,  the handle is light and can pull up and down with no effort at all. All the pockets will be used in these next two years for whatever he needs at school. I do wish that the drink carrier was a bit deeper. The cups always fall out when we start walking. School starts in 2 weeks and he can't wait to use it. I recommend this product--and this company--over anyone else. Yes, you can buy a cheapie backpack for $20, but watch how quickly it degrades: the zipper will slip, the hems will peel, pencils will put holes in the canvas, then you'll have to buy another one. With JanSport, the products last YEARS! I would rather pay one higher price than a cheap price over and over and over. I'm very pleased with JanSport.

Worth Every Penny!

Used this pack to carry my laptop, cell phone and small travel items for nine years in and out of Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Thailand, Europe and the US.  It stood up to everything I threw at it except it couldn't stand up to the mice in my tent on my last assignment in Afghanistan as they chewed holes through it.  Unfortunately, I opted to leave it in Kandahar due to the excessive damage.  The only other issue it had is one of the zippers was going bad but after nine years of hell, no big deal.

Yes, I would absolutely buy this backpack again!

I am a disabled veteran, USMC, the VA purchased one of these and a backpack to accommodate my disability to carry my college books, etc. I am a full time student and have to carry my laptop, books, etc in this. I sometimes have so much that I have to carry my JanSport backpack too. Some students are now using rolling crates for all their school gear but are not very functional when it rains since Fall, Winter, and Spring are spent during the rainy season. I keep the heavy items in the rolling backpack and it makes a big difference. From carrying so much gear my backpack tore from one of the shoulder straps after several years of carrying books; JansPort repaired it with no problem. I had so much gear in my rolling backpack that the stitching tore and JansPort replaced the rolling backpack too. One has to consider the constant movement at school like going up and down stairs, stashing it under a desk, then studying at the library, including homework, travel from and to school. Some people are lucky to get by with just a tablet computer, then there are the child prodigies that get to go to college at 9 or 10 years of age, but some of us need to carry our books and need accommodations to study. I am now getting my driver 8 replaced again because of a defective handle. 

JanSport really stands by its products. Every manufacturer will have some issues with some of their products and I am so thankful JanSport is there when it does. I am almost finished with my studies at the university and will keep my JanSport bags long after.

Lifetime warranty

The only reason why I gave the 4 star review is because I did have to have the bag replaced after a year. The handle stopped working on it. I sent it in to customer service and took full advantage of the Lifetime Warranty. It took about a month, as it was back to school season, but Jansport sent me a brand new bag out! The service was great, I would have liked it to be quicker, but I understand back to school is their biggest time of the year. I absolutely love this bag, and I really missed it while it was gone for the last month. They could not fix my original bag, so they sent out an absolutely brand new bag! I could not be more happier than the end result. Jansport is a great product, and they clearly stand by their product...replacing a defective item with a brand new one!
