The stand is a smooth plastic, I believe it said it's made with Eco-friendly material. I don't particularly have any problem with this, because it looks really nice on my table regardless whether it's plastic or not. The cable cutout for the apple watch hides part of the cable. I really like that as well, because it just makes things look cleaner on my table, instead of cables everywhere. 

One thing to note is that this iphone charging stand is not able to charge with a case on it. I already have a Speck iphone case, but it just doesn't charge it if I have it on the phone. Maybe if I get a thinner case… I'm fine with it though because I always have guests over, so I place it on the table where guests can easily charge their iphones there. I've had compliments how cool this charging stand looks.

A great feature this has is the USB Typc C port for the power. USB C ports are amazing. They have such great throughput, transfer rate, and versatility, it just blows everything else out of the water. What's better with this stand is that THIS PARTICULAR USB C port FITS THE LIGHTNING CABLE (so you don't need an adapter in case you don't have a type c cable!). If you don't know already, type C is just as fast as any of your data cables, even if there are multiple things plugged in to it. So my iPhone AND Apple Watch 3 charged just as fast as if they were plugged into their own separate outlets. I didn't see any performance issues with charging at all, which is terrific! I can finally free up one of my power ports!

USB Type C fits Lightning Cable!

This little charger stand is lightweight plastic and allows me to charge my apple watch and phone with ease. It is great to have a dedicated location for both devices nearby at night. Set up was not a problem and I had no issues connecting the cords. Since this is so light, I plan on bringing it with me on an upcoming trip.

This review is for the black iMountTek GPCT 1024 Apple Watch and iPhone Charging
Stand, some call it a Cradle Holder or Docking Nightstand Station. I have an iPhone
and a Series 3 Apple Watch, I put this charging station on my bedside table.
It charges both my iPhone and watch. However you have to supply your own charging
cables, 1 for your phone and 1 for your watch. There are 2 ports on the back of
this charging station, one is female USB A and the other is a female Apple
Lightning port. I have a Otterbox Defender Case on my phone and it will not plug
into the male lightning port on this charging stand with the case on. If
I remove the case, it charges my phone just fine. It supports the following
iPhone Plus/7/6s/6/5S/5C/5/SE and Apple Watch Series 1,2,3, both 38mm and 42mm
Apple Watch sizes. Besides having to supply your own charging cables, you also
have to supply your own external power sources for charging such as a USB wall
charger which most of us already have. It is made of a glossy black plastic
material with 6 round rubber feet to keep it from sliding around and keeps it
in place. I do have to prop the watch band up underneath to keep it from sliding
down when I place my watch on the charging station. The watch charging cable
fits perfectly in a groove down the side and out the back for a nice neat clean
look. It measures 2.05"L x 3.07"W x 4.02"H, bottom height is .63". It came in
a box with the charging station and instructions.

A nice charging station for iPhone and Apple Watch

I have a series 1 Apple Watch 38mm and a IPhone XR. The charging stand is plastic and it has a place to put the Apple Watch charger and beside it there is a place with a charger to put your iPhone on. My phone and charger didn't charge super fast but they charged. The stand doesn't fall over. It stays put while it charges. It came with easy to read instructions.

Great for charging watch and phone

I love the idea of this, just set up the phone on a charger and walk away. But I have a case on my phone and it blocks the charger connector. so using the cord is the only way to use both. so it is more easy that way. 
I don't have the watch yet. I would like to get one some day. I have a fit bit. type watch. it is interesting to see your heart rate and text we receive. 
The unit has a good no skid pad on the bottom and does not flip over easy. it is good and sturdy. one bad point is that it does not come with a charge cord.

can't use it with a case on it

The GPCT Apple Watch/iWatch/iPhone Charging Stand Cradle Holder Dock Nightstand Station looks great but really makes it difficult to charge my phone. It's such a hassle to have to take my phone out of the case to charge each night. I like the place to put my Apple Watch to charge but the phone charger section needs improvements. It would be nice to just be able to sit my phone on the charger without removing it from the case. If that could be improved, I could give 5 stars.

Too Much of a Hassle!

I received this Apple Phone/Watch charging stand as part of Walmart's Spark Reviewer program. Needless to say, I am not impressed with this stand. First of all it feels cheap. The plastic is not high quality. You attach your watch charging puck to the stand. I have tried numerous times to get the cord to stay in the cord slot. It always popped out. As for the phone charger portion I can't tell you how it works because they didn't provide you with the charging cord to connect the stand to a charging outlet. With all the charging cords I have I did not have what was necessary to get the phone charger to work. I purchased a USB C type (see the picture) charging cable. It did not fit in the charging mount. I will use it to hold my watch in a steady upright position when charging. If I bought this I would have returned it because it doesn't work as described.

Works As A Watch Charging Stand

This charging stand is not well made and is not recommended. It feels pretty flimsy out of the box. There is no charging wire or wall charger coming with it. I used a USB charging cable that I knew works to try power it. The blue indicator light by the USB port does go on. However, plug in portion for iPhone in the front is very loose and not recognized by the phone at all. So I was not able to use this charging stand to charge the phone.
