First the pros.  Great display, quality feel, very good camera and fast processor.

The cons.  The battery life doesn't remotely live up to the published specs.  I have read in online articles that the battery life is supposed to be almost 800 hours standby (that's over 4 weeks!) and 28 hours talk (over a day).  By 1-2 pm in the afternoon the phone is ready for another charge (and that's with very light talk, moderate internet).

After the phone automatically installed most of the apps from my previous phone (and I emphasize MOST, not ALL), I tried to install a few more (like the navigation app Waze).  Multiple (10+) attempts to install  each app yielded the same result ("app could not be installed .. -504).  An hour+ on the phone with google doing extensive troubleshooting did not help.

I reluctantly followed their suggestion to do a factory reset.  That didn't help either.  Same error message (over and over).

So now I can't install the additional apps I want.

I often find that I can't make or receive calls or texts.  Only "trouble shooting" I was offered was to turn the phone off and remove the sim card and put it back in and restart the phone.  That, of course, did not help.  Carrier offered to send a new sim card (but as I am on my 3rd phone and 3rd SIM card in 2 weeks, I decided to pass).

The phone has numerous other quirks.  If you are on a phone call, and decide to check your e-mail (or open another app) ... you can NOT get back to the phone call in the traditional, Android manner (press the phone button and then tap on "return to phone call").  I had to call tech support to find out that the only way was to drag from the top and then click on the phone call card.

Back it goes.

I wish SOMEONE would make a 6-8" phone (preferably 7" or  8") with a fast processor, high res camera, and a quality build.  I would be willing to pay big bucks for it.  Unfortunately, the only large screen phones on the market are pretty low-end (often off brands).

Great specs, falls way short

I had the phone for a year and a half worked great more or less with quirks. I initially did  have problems with installing apps after it got bloated.  I got the dreaded restart of death and had to do a full hard reset to work. That went find and the phone worked great until the charging port died. The downside to this is there are no parts available online, and if you do it yourself be prepared for the cheap plastic housing to break on you.

I managed to find a single place on ebay who might fix it but he has zero warranty on the product and I could receive the product back  non-repaired. I contacted Blu via there automated support online and got zero recommendations on where to get it fixed.  There business policy is to ignore you.

There is no forthcoming upgrade from Lollipop to Marshmallow and it is a powerhog using gps programs. I constantly have to have the phone plugged in for it to work properly when I'm using the phone in my car.

Blu support has always been bad but when it comes to there flagship phone you expect better support then just buy another phone that breaks. I bought a refurb blu xl 8gb phone as backup and the software on that is better than what is put on this phone.

No BLU support and charging port will die!
