I don't know exactly if this particular XM radio will, but I have clipped the XM antenna from an old Express to my very old Sony portable stereo, and it picked up the xm stations. Hope this helps.

If your car stereo has an aux. imput, that is the best option for the XM onyx. You'll need an XM subscription for the XM Onyx.

no, you callXM and have the signal sent to your new radio...sometimes a 15.00 fee will apply, but I've been able to talk them out of that several times....be REAL NICE and say YOU'RE POOR but that you LOVE YOUR XM RADIO!!!!

If you have a Contract already, you do not need another contract to buy the radio, you can call them and tell them you have a new radio and either add it to your exisiting contract or swap it out with the old radio you may have.

No. If you are replacing a radio, no just switch the subscription over. If this is a second radio on the account you will get a discount, you can just add it to your existing account.

Excellent choice for a XM receiver if low cost if your main priority. Has all the pertinent features and looks great. I haven't had any issues or complaints. Easy to install, only drawback is the built in FM Tuner, but if you buy the FM Modulator kit, or use the AUX input you shouldn't have any issues. I prefer the AUX input, sound seems crisper and more clear. Great gift for someone or if you are like me, a great gift for yourself.

Great unit for price.

I don't wan't to confuse anybody. This unit works for XM channels not the extra Sirius XM channels. Reciever works great. If you go through the radio transmitter to connect there is a slight audio drop. Just turn your radio up. Plus the unit itself has a master volume. What I really like is the power button is a hard switch not digital, meaning that if the Onyx is on when I turn the car off then it turns off and when I start the car it comes back on automatically. This is sweet as I don't have to keep turning it on. P.S. my cigarette lighter loses power when the car is off. The antenna wire is extra long.

XM only not Sirius XM

This is a great radio for someone who wants an easy install aftermarket radio.It is easy to install and it sounds pretty good to.I didnt use the FM connect because i have an auz jack.It came with everything i needed to install it.The sound is great and it pickes up the satellite fast.I was going to install an aftermarket in the dash but it would have been to much work to do that plus i would of had to change the dash cover out and that was going to be $80.00 dallors more.This radio is not the blaster but dose have decent volume range.I give it a 7 for what it is.

Although value priced, this XM radio is value loaded! Easily installed and activated, as well as made for outside the vehicle use, the unit is compact and well engineered. A great buy, and it made a most excellent Christmas gift for my wife!!

As advertised!!

just got it today, had it installed and activated in about 20 minutes. The only thing I didnt like was that I had to buy service for the whole year not month by month, so be prepared for that.

I bought this for XM Radio. I had a professional install it. So far its works great. Sometimes the radio (XM) freezes and won't change the channel. It usually gets stuck when changing from 4 to 1. It could be the station or the button is worn out.

Pros: Its does the job. Nice colors for background, looks good as it blends with the radio colors. No issues except the system freezing between changing channels. FM Transmitter works good, sometimes no reception when driving in mountains or area when the free FM radio is used.

Cons: None really. You get what you pay for. Its not like $100. but it does the job great, and provides good XM MUSIC when i drive the car

Overall I give it 4.5/5

Its Delivers What It Promises

This is an excellent xm radio for the money. It gets good reception, and includes everything needed to get you set up including the antenna. Easy to follow instructions, and simple to use. Would be nice if it had a few more preset stations, but for the price I can't complain. If you are looking for a good xm radio that doesn't cost a lot of money then this is the radio for you. I have a more expensive xm radio, but prefer using the onyx, because of ease of use.

Excellent product for the money

I switch this radio between two vehicles. Works okay in one and not very well in the other. Neither car has an aux in plug. If you don't have an aux in connection in your car you may want to skip this. I installed an FM Modulator in the vehicle that doesn't work well and it didn't help. Problem is weak trasnsmission from XM to FM in car radio thanks to the FCC. Sat reseption with included antenna is good.

I bought one of these radios and and had to replace it twice. My old Skyfi 2, from 06 worked better than this piece of junk, plus my Skyfi saved music so you could go back and listen to what you might have missed. Plus, SiriusXM is probably one of the worst companies to deal with. Their customer service is completely outsourced, so learn Afrikaan, Indian, and a slew of other languages if you want to be understood, and get ready to be ripped, financially. They don't give an explanation of charges. They just charge you. And they.charge you to the point you have very little for what you're paying for.
