If I am converting vhs tape can I edit as I am transferring to converter box

Great Product

It was easy to use. The screen was helpful in determining that I was recording what I wanted to record.  The picture quality didn't seem to be any further degraded from the mediocre to poor quality recordings that I was digitizing.  I don't know if a high quality picture input would have retained its high quality or not.  The sound occasionally would track with the video but most of the time it was off by one to three seconds, often more. I used the product on VHS tapes and Hi-8 camcorder tapes.
