Get the most out of your home audio system with high quality, oxygen-free, pure bare copper speaker wire from Monoprice! This speaker wire features two conductors made of high purity (greater than 99.95 percent pure), oxygen-free bare copper. Pure Bare Copper is a superior conductor to the copper clad aluminum (CCA) conductors used in most other inexpensive speaker wire. CCA is only about 68 percent as conductive as pure bare copper. This additional resistance is added to the impedance of your speakers and can negatively affect the sound. For the wire to have no audible effect, the total wire resistance should be no more than 5 percent of the lowest impedance of your speakers. Even speakers rated for a nominal 8-ohms, may dip to as low as 4-ohms at some frequencies, which further reduces the total cable resistance allowed in the wire. Using Pure Bare Copper speaker wire ensures that the total load put on the amplifier remains as close as possible to the impedance curve of your speakers. Each conductor is jacketed with color-coded PVC for easy polarity identification. The entire cable assembly is jacketed in a black, CL2-rated PVC material. I used this 2-Conductor, 16AWG, 100ft wire to install speakers on my deck -- I routed the wire down through the wall to the crawl space, then outside through a hole in the stucco and up to the speakers.  My runs are almost 100 feet and this wire is durable and waterproof -- the speakers sound great and I expect no problems for years to come.

I have used this wire to power my Polk RC6 stereo input speakers throughout my home.  I needed some more speaker wire to power my Polk outdoor speakers that are placed under the eves of my house and once again I am not disappointed.  This wire is so non-restrictive that my Sony Stereo that is powering the ten stereo input Polk speakers does not require an amplifier.  Matter of fact the stereo only gets mildly warm on the top when it should be hot running ten of these speakers.    It's a steal at this price and you won't be disappointed purchasing this quality speaker wire.

It's Wire

Worked exactly as I planned. 2- #12 positive wires, 2-#12 negative wires, ending in good quality banana plugs. The left one is 10' long, the right 18' long. Connects Klipsch Forte speakers with Japanese tube amp.

4 conductor speaker wire

Excellent wire and was delivered with in a few days at a very reasonable price. Used my laser and a rod to hold the reel and pull my wires through.

Have klisph R27 speakers with atmos and a Denon 4700 amp that will blow the room out. Wire is a great match

Using the high-quality #2817 CL2 rated 12 gauge speaker wire, I sheath it in TechFlex, terminate with locking banana plugs and/or Deadbolt braided ends, and seal w/heat shrink tubing for a reliable, good-looking and high-performing speaker cable.

Good Purchase

This isn?t the ?old? quality MonoPrice wire anymore.  I ordered 100ft of 16awg 4-Conductor, same exact part# 4041 as wire I purchased several years back.  Only to find it?s been changed to a much lower quality wire.  The first concern I had was the new spool, followed by the thinner white shielding that fit much tighter to the wires inside.  Realizing packaging and suppliers can change I decided to go ahead and use the new wire for my install as I?ve been very pleased with MonoPrice?s wire in the past.  I greatly regret that decision.  After running this wire for my rear speakers.  I pulled out my Klein strippers and noticed the 16awg notch wasn?t properly stripping the jacket off.  In fact I had to use the 18awg notch to properly remove the jacket, and it didn?t even scratch the copper underneath.  I pulled out a spool of the old 16awg MonoPrice wire just to check.  Sure enough on the old wire the 16awg notch cut clean and true.  Looking closer at the two wires I could see the new wire is no longer a true 
16awg, even though the wire is stamped as so.  I?d post pictures of the differences, however MonoPrice?s review setup doesn?t provide that option.  Sadly I?ll have to source my A/V products from another vendor moving forward.  It might end up costing more from another vendor, but if I can get a quality product it?ll be worth it.
