This mat is very comfortable when I use it on my lap and it works great.

Works great

First off, this product has good reviews. That's what prompted me to buy it. It's a simple item that should be a must have with all laptops because it does the required job of cooling your laptop very well...especially during hot, humid summer days. There are no instructions on how to use it...which is the top or bottom, but there are instructional videos on You Tube that explain everything perfectly. I was amazed at how cool my laptop stays with this product and there is no noticable noise caused by the cooling fans.

Just bought 2 online one for my son's laptop & one for my laptop I love the cooling mat better then the cooling pad. The cooling mat works great for larger to med size  laptops and the cool pad is great for little laptops.as for this cooling mat  we have had no prombles with it and it can be plugged in from either side, is really quiet had to put my ear up to it to check if it was working.

I work on my HP ENVY 17" laptop for many hours a day. It sits on my lap and finally it doesn't overheat and burn my legs with this chill pad. Very sleek and comfortable to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Keeps my legs cool.

I bought this a month ago and have been using it everyday- it's great! Really works at keeping both of my laptops (17 inch / 15 inch) cool and in place without sliding. It was a great price too! Excellent!

Keeps laptop cool!

Targus Chill Mat Cooling Stand is a mild fan action that works great on the laptop that doesn't get too hot and just enough on the one that gets so hot it shuts off to keep it working. The neoprene material is too much of a temptation for my ferret and so I have to keep him away from it as biting a piece off would probably end up with a vet visit. Overall I found it useful for my purpose.

The only laptop cooling mat I found that I can use on a table, and on my lap, to cool the laptop. However, I think this laptop mat needs an upgrade in its features. As HP is reducing the number of USB-A ports and moving towards USB-C, this chiller mat should actually be able to have a USB-C connection, and in an ideal world, also be able to work as a hub, providing the user with even more USB ports so they don't feel like they lost a precious port with this mat.

Really useful, but some feature updates required

It is confortable and easy to use. Unfortunately if you have an HP pavillion laptop, due to the processor location, it won't cool to make it worth the spending. I used speedfan 4.50 to monitor the temperature and from the results of my tests it doe not fulfill it's main function: to cool the laptop.
