In my vehicle it stays on after vehicle has been shut off. So you would have to turn it off or pause it

It does not resume the play. It will start over every time you shut off the car or turn off the player. It's a bummer.

It restarts but I haven read the manual so there might be a solution that I'm unaware of

We unplug the unit when the car is off.
It loads and I think it starts over but they come with remote controls where you can move it forward to where you want it.

this was a replacement product for a similar one purchased on Black Friday in 2012. this DVD player allows each child to watch their own individual movie. only drawback was the mounting strap as it doesn't seem to hold as well as others and their were no instructions for mounting the player to the headrest. other than that, totally satisfied with the product!

Great value for the money

I was skeptical at first then decided to buy Ematic DVD players. Not knowing the brand was the main reason I hesitated, but when I received them I was very satisfied with the units. They are built very sturdy and the play DVDs with a clear picture and no problems at all. The players came with all the stuff necessary to put them in your car for the kids. Each child can play their own movie as the units have their own remote and power supply.

Dual DVD Players (ED929D) $99.99

We went on a trip to Missouri so we bought this for our 4 year old daughter and 8 month son. We originally bought the RCA DVD player but we returned never even used it b/c it felt so cheap. This DVD player (ematic) felt a lot heavier duty than the RCA. The only issue we had was when we set it up I had the straps too tight and it would say no DVD even though there was one in there but I loosened the straps and it has worked like a charm. We played them the whole way there and home and its an 17 hour ride one way. The kids loved them and it kept them entertained. You can use a usb flashdrive to download movies but check it before you go on a trip some of the movies we downloaded didn't play. You can also use an sd card but we didn't so can't tell you anything about that. The nice thing was we could play 2 different movies at the same time which will come in handy when the kids are older. Overall we are very satisfied with this product.
