Good quality picture and sound. Only RCA cable was included this is standard so you have to purchase your own HDMI cable. It's a plug and play equipment easy installation.

I bought the DVD player for my grand daughter to watch in our spare bedroom when she comes over. Last week she stayed in that room for the first time, she never slept in that room before. She said that she wanted to because of the new DVD player, she had a great time in that room watching the DVD and when I told her that the unit also played CD's she went wild ! She loves to listen to Carrie Underwood. We could not get her out of that bedroom, for over a year or more we wanted her to sleep in one of our two spare bedroom but she wouldn't. She is 5 years old and after last weekend she now wants to come over and stay in the bedroom with the new Sony DVD / CD player. Feels great !!

Easy to use

Small, compact, I have a very small area for a player this fits perfectly. Clear picture, works with all my dvds. This is my 2nd Sony of this type, had no problems with them

Fits perfectly under my tv.

I got this DVD player so that I can watch my DVDs on my HDTV instead of on my laptop. It was easy to connect it via HDMI cable to the TV. It works perfectly for me since I only plan to us it to watch DVDs and nothing else. I also like its compact size since I live in a small apartment and space is at a premium.

Perfect For Me

I just wanted a good basic DVD player.  I found one in this Sony.  Just the fact that it comes with a full size, easy to use remote is a blessing. And I can control certain functions of my Sony TV with this remote.  Set up was very easy. Compact, sleek design makes it easy to place.

One of the best in ths range.

This DVD player was easy to set up. I have a Sony Bravia TV so it worked immediately with my TV. The video is crisp and clear. The sound is big bold and clear (it goes through a sound bar and woofer). As far as I am concerned there is nothing negative to be said about this DVD player.

So far so good. Easy to set up. Would have been a 5 star review if an HDMI cable had been included.

I AM NOT AN EXPERIENCED ELECTRONICS DUDE, I'M A USER ONLY.  I COULDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN A MONTH, A 24 X 20 SHEET CHOCK FULL OF INSTRUCTIONS THAT SO FAR HAVEN'T HELPED ME GET THE DVD TO RESPOND, EXCEPT FOR THE YELLOW LIGHT THAT COMES ON WHEN I HIT THE POWER BUTTON AND THE OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON.  WHERE CAN I FIND INSTRUCTIONS THAT USE LAYMAN LANGUAGE STEP 1,2,3 ETC TO GET THIS THING WORKING?

LOOKS LIKE IT SHOULD WORK

I bought this unit about 9 months ago. It has degenerated steadily for the past 3 or 4 months, then failed completely. At first by freeze frame, followed by loss of sound, then stopping completely while a fragmented still picture remained. Though still under the one year parts warranty, the labor warranty expired after 90 days. I did not feel that the parts warranty was worth the cost of shipment to a repair facility plus any labor charges. Instead, I chose to replace this unit with another Sony unit a little farther upscale.

Not what I expected from Sony

Bought this to ease the use of my VCR/DVD recorder. It only plays DVD+RW and not DVD+R. THE DESCRIPTION STATED PLAYS DVD+RW  DVD+R   DVD-RW DVD-R
IN ONE CASE IT ACTUALLY CAUSE ONE RECORDED MOVIE TO NOT WORK IN THE DVD RECORDER. i THOUGHT SONY WOULD HAVE A BETTER PRODUCT BUT i WAS WRONG. I'LL KEEP IT TIL IT BREAKS THEN I'LL REPLACE IT WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND.It also does noes not have a code for Hisense tv.
