What differentiates this sensor from all the others on the market is that they work first time and are reliable.  The sensor is a breeze to configure and if you are thinking about a Zigbee window/door sensor, this is the way to go.  It's a pity that its the only unit in the range that uses a CR2032 battery while all the other units use a much longer life battery.  Of course, because it reports the battery life, you can easily setup routines to pre-advise you about the need for battery replacement.  They did a great job with this sensor.  I have been using the Sonoff products for many years and have installed hundreds of their units.  Their Zigbee products are great, easy to set up and are a breeze to integrate with Home Assistant or to flash new hardware.  Over time they have proven to be reliable and value for money and have proven that they have heard their customers and what they want.

I started with a couple of this sensors and are working good. They are connected to a Zigbee 3.0. 

One sensor was having some errors, I removed it, paired it again and the issue was fixed

Good sensors

After trying both the DW2-WiFi (slow response and terrible battery life) and DW2-RF (faster, better battery life, but does not give both open and close events). This version has the best of aspects without the drawbacks. Only downside is the need for a ZigBee hub. Physical size of these is also smaller then the Wifi or RF versions.

Much better than WiFi or 433MHz versions

They are small and blend in with our white trim.  So far they have been working well with Home Assistant and my Zigbee bridge.  They connected immediately to the system.

Efficient magnet sensors

Good contact sensors, especially for the price. Only complaint is the side with the magnet is a bit too large to fit on a window when placed  in the middle.  I popped it open and just hot glued the magnet in place, but it'd be great if the plastic box was just thinner

I have started with one of these sensors. Worked like a charme. Now I bought 3 more, they are all doing their job. They are connected (either direct or via zigbee routers) to a Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle. No failures 'till now.

Sonoff contact sensors

Finally some ZigBee sensors have arrived so now I can remotely monitor the status of my garage doors. 
I am a fan of ZigBee system, low power usage and not wasting my wifi bandwidth. 
I was pleasantly surprised to find the units came with battery fitted and they were easy to pair and setup.
I have installed them on my garage doors and renamed them as appropriate. 
I am a Google home user, whilst the sensors show up on Google home, they dont indicate anything. The work around was to let the sensors trigger an automation to turn on another sonoff switch, which Google can see the status of. Who knows if/ when Google will fix this.
So I turned my attention to Samsung Smart Things app. The sensors show up and their status is displayed in this app within a second or two, Excellent! 
SmartThings also works in Android Auto. Which I find handy, as I can see door status and I can trigger my other SonOff switch to open the garage door whist driving home.
This stuff makes my inner geek happy.
The most useful automation was - notification if garage doors left opened for more than ten minutes. 
This justifies the whole project in my opinion. 
Later I will somehow rig one of these sensors to my letterbox. And because they are so cheap and easy , they may also appear on other gates and doors around my home. 
THE BAD
Unfortunately the all the ZigBee units go offline from time to time and thus make the sensors unreliable. I hope an update to the ZigBee bridge will solve this soon.

Door sensor to complete my home monitoring

Really love the design, but the devices frequently disconnect from my network. I am using the CC2531 for my mesh and 2 of these sensors on closets. This means that both are close to routers (the bulbs). Regardless, they are frequently reported as unavailable.

Frequent disconnects

The sensor takes too long to update the zigbee network with its state. Other devices update instantly on the very same network. The device blinks but state is not updated. I have a couple of those devices, replaced batteries, and it seems all have this problem on different rooms and close to different routers.
