yes, it does, i have a few dvd + rw made by TDK and I have been able to erase it and re write it few times so far, I am ordering a set of 30 of these for back up of my computer files.

You can re-use this up to 5 times...after the fifth, it starts to lag...I use it every day to record my "will be missed" tv shows and at the end of the week, I watch these shows...then I use it again for the following week...that's why I said it's a bit expensive because after 5 to 8 weeks (5 to 8 times of re-using it), I have to use a new DVD+RW...I bought 30 of them, so, it will last me for a while.

ACTUALLY, DVD+RW ARE FOR RECORDING MOVIES AND JPEGS. YOU CAN BACK UP FILES ON DVD+/-RW, BUT BEST BET FOR THESE IS C-DR AND CD-RW...THE CD-R IS WRITE ONCE...CD-RW IS RE-RIGHTABLE

anything with RW will work multiple times.

yes they are reusable (erase/reformat etc) ; but the life time is dependent upon age, a guess would be they last about 7 years before they "wear out"

DVD+RW - does the DVD+RW mean that these cd's are reusable for applications such as backing up files. Can I use the disk more that one time?

The Verbatim DVD&#43;RW media meets or exceeds industry specifications.
The erase-rewrite specification is a minimum of 1000 cycles.

I record and delete over and over again until I collect enough recordings that I want to keep, and the disc is full.

Then I move on to the next disc.

I highly reccomend Verbatim re-recordable discs. Maxell has been very unreliable. Have had to throw out 2-3 discs per pack of 10 because my recorder could not read them. Verbatim is perfroming quite well, so far.

I would not worry about how many times a DVD disc can be re-recorded. With good quality discs, it should not be an issue. Just enjoy!

How many times you can use this disc depends on how well you take care of them.

Most R/W DVD's are good for hundreds of re-writes.

I can generally use each disc on a daily basis for at least 2 weeks before it starts giving out error messages. Get a "lemon" every once in a while, but overall very good durability.

if you have a drive newer than about 5 years old it shouldnt matter. if its older, then google a search for your specific drive.

I like to use a DVD RW to record tv ,The main reason I do this is if for some reason you lose you signal or power,you have not wasted a disk.once record is complete,I use my computer to burn disk to a DVD r.and the DVDrw is ready for next use.If your slide show works with out any issues I would use a DVDr.

WHETHER YOU USE DVD-RW OR DVD+RW DEPENDS ON YOUR EQUIPMENT. IF YOU ARE USING A COMPUTER TO TRANSFER THE MATERIAL, IT WILL PROBABLY WORK FOR BOTH....BUT A STAND-ALONE DVR RECORDER MUST BE ABLE TO FORMAT THE + AND - DISC....MOST DO....SOME DON'T....SEE YOUR MANUAL

First read the specification on your DvD/CD unit, they vary. The answer on compatibility with which DvD/CD should be stated in the manual. Can get the part number/make on the drive and search for the manual on the internet.

Second even if the manual states it will work or is compatible I would test each type of DvD/CD prior to committing to either, one of my system has problem with DvD+R, but, not DvD-R. If there is a problem, use a label on the door of the DvD/CD unit for future reference. Basically one needs trial and error to confirm. For presentation, save the data/slide show on DvD for long term storage, for presentation - consider moving the DvD files/data to hard drive for faster performance, after presentation - remove the file from the hard drive. If you want a permanent copy of the slide show, I would not use a Read Write CD/DvD (+/-) RW, it can be written over, a DvD/CD (+R/-R) can not be written over, it is permanent. The reason for copying to hard drive is they are much faster than DvD/CD on data transfers.

You have to check the manufacturer information that came with your machine.

You have not specified how the original disc was recorded.

If you are doing it on your computer, this DVD +RW disc should work. But it may only be useable with your computer. (This applies to the -RW also). If you record it on your computer, and it is not recognized by the TV recorder/player, you may be able to view it on your TV using a USB cord and playing it from your computer to the TV, if your TV recorder and/or TV have a USB capacity.

If you are doing it on a TV DVD recorder, it depends on the machine requirements. More than likely it will be ok to use the +RW. But you need one machine to play the original DVD, connected to the DVD recorder.

For new TV DVD recorders, +RW has become the most commonly useable form of DVD. The -RW was for the original manufacturer that invented the process. Only the -RW would work on that brand (I don't remember what it was.) Later manufacturers came up with the +RW and it was usable on every one else's machines.

Generally, all new machines recognize both. But +RW is preferred.

Quality is our foremost number one priority and in our experience, we've discovered Verbatim to be superior overall vs other data storage media. We own a 2009 iMac 24", 2010 MacBook Pro and an ancient, 8 yr. old Sony PCV-RZ54G desk top and all formats have performed phenomenally well on each of our systems without any data loss and/or errors.

With more than 80% used, zero coasters. Have been using Verbatim for a couple of years now and am completely satisfied.

I'm still living in the stone age.  Have a DVD video recorder/player.  These discs work fine for recording.  They do fast forward a bit faster than my older ones but that is no serious problem.  Also it's much cheaper buying them in the pack.  The ones sold in jackets are ridiculous in price.

Best!! I bought these for my Magnavox DVD recorder and I kept getting an error. I'm going to post this here in hopes that it helps someone. There's nothing wrong with the DVDs, I had to reformat them on my laptop before they would work. Insert the disk, reformat to “USB flash drive“ and then insert into recorder

Used these for a decade!

I usually go with a brand like Memorex. Thought I would try these, and so glad I did. The fresh formatting was quick, and easy.. sometimes I find some brands take a bit of time. Once I got my burns done, was documents and pictures, they all burned fast, and when checking to make sure it was all good.. it was all good! Very crisp and nice. I am very happy with the purchase, and am considering to get an extra to have around.

Am on my 5th disc of the pack. Every one is perfect and flawless. I had been having trouble after trouble with Maxell. Many discs had to be discarded as my DVD recorder wold not recognize them.

my Magnavox dvr doesn't work with all brands of dvd+rw, this works best. east erase and good recording. I use daily to catch tv programs on at odd hours, watch and erase. can use over and over, watch on other dvd players also. also use on computers for temp back-up.

they want me to write a review. i don't know what much there is to say about dvds. to me they either work or they're coasters. i bought these because now that i can't find tdk, memorex, or office depot dvds too much in my area any more, these are about the only ones available and the price keeps decreasing also, which i like. of course the 5.00 delivery charge is something i don't like and the 5.00 fee, but... i usually don't have too many problems with these dvds and when i do i'm not sure if it's the dvd itself or my dvd recorder. it'll mess up on about 3 dvds out of every 30 in the batch. when it does, i usually get corrupt titles that either won't play or keep repeating chapter 1 over and over or skip chapters. sometimes it will not allow me to record any more and there is still 1-4 hours left on the dvd available record time so i have to get another one, what a waste. also, when i try to rename a title, it is very slow and doesn't advance to the next letter on the screen to rename the title. i usually keep a fan on my dvd recorder because it gets hot and if i don't it will mess up even more.

they're ok...not much to say.

Burn quality was very poor, unlike prior Verbatim  RW discs I've used. Verbatim Customer Support told me that they wouldn't replace them, and to return them to Walmart.
