This is an adapter for memory cards. If the computer has a USB port, it works - nothing to do with software (Windoes).

Having a USB port or cable does not necessarily make this device or any other "compatible". For example, I have a Nikon Coolpix 885 camera that came with a USB cable and it does NOT work with Windows 7, which is exactly the reason I'm hunting a memory card reader.

If you're going to answer a question, please have accurate information.

Is this product compatible with Windows 7?

I bought this for reading and writing too CF cards. Works great. Comes with a USB A_B, Probably PNP with W7. If your camera has a micro USB slot, You can get an adaptor for USB A_Micro for about $0.78

I am using it with Windows 7 and it works just great. It does work with CF cards.

Does this work with a Canon CF card FC-32m and is a USB cord included. Also, does it work with Windows 7?

I bought this a few weeks ago because I needed a reader/writer that would work with SDHC cards and it has been working great for me. Just plug it into a usb port and get to work. I love it and would recommend it to anyone.

Great equipment for video conversions

It has read every card I put into it.  It is light-weight and simple.  It does a great job.  Especially for the price.  I highly recommend this item if you have a variety of memory cards to read.

exactly what I expected

I recently purchased a new computer that does not have any card slots. I also have a laptop that does not have card slots. I am now able to load my pictures from my digital camera on either computer without having to attach the camera to the computer. Also, some of my coworkers have borrowed the product to load pictures on their computers. Very definitely a product worth the price.

A very useful produce

I needed a card reader because my desktop computer wasn't equipped with one. After not finding one at my local Walmart, I chose this one online because it's not only a card reader, but a writer also. So far it's worked well. I also tried it with my laptop (which has an internal card reader). Big mistake on my part. I have a picture program on the laptop I use when downloading pics and after hooking up the Iogear card reader it didn't allow my picture program to be the default pic program. I finally got my laptop back the way it was and don't intend to hookup this card reader to it again. But it works well with the desktop and that's the one I intended to use it with anyway.

Good for a pocket card reader

This is a good card reader writer, however it could have been easier to connect/disconnect. Logistically it was ok, but software speaking, as in "safley remove hardware" needs to be clicked everytime you remove a card. Then the whole card reader has to be re-connected for the next card to read. But other than that, its good.

Coulda been better

There is one inconvenience with this product. If you plug it in a USB port with a memory card inside, the reader will not show up. At first, I thought it was broken. Otherwise, it's a fine product. It would be even better if a pouch/case is added.

Must plug in with no cards inside

I have followed all the steps however I can not get my computer to find it and this was suppose to be a plug and play. I even went to their website downloaded the most recent version and nothing happened. Restarted my computer and still nothing. Very disappointed.

Does not work on Apple

I checked the reviews. someone stated that it works with Windows 7. It does not. If you are using windows 7, do not buy this item.
