It is one piece. I'm not sure if it will work for a sofa since it's made for futons, but I suppose you could try and return if if not.

No this will not work for you. They sell other covers that just lay over the top of a sofa and you tuck in the ends. You will need something like that.

it is a one piece, and it is designed so that (with the futon in seated position) you place the cover on top half slightly lean futon cushion towards you and place the bottom half, real easy if it's a futon, honestly don't think it would work for regular sofa unless you can somehow detach the cushions or bend them towards you for placing the slipcover over it like you do with a futon.

I was very pleased with this futon cover. I wasn't sure what to even buy since we got the futon from a friend. But after looking on Amazon and other sites, I found this one for way less than the other ones but figured it's a free return at the store if I'm not satisfied with it. It's good quality (and I'm pretty picky)! Even has a nice zipper that easily zippers. Fits a little loose, but I think that's the way they are supposed to be. I tuck the extra in the crease.

This futon cover was perfect - I ordered the taupe to go over a taupe futon mattress, but actually the color of the futon cover was a nicer, warmer color than the mattress so already just comparing the two visually I was happy I purchased it. When I took it out out of the packaging, the texture was so nice and soft - so nice and soft our dog was trying to make a nest in it at the very same time I was trying to put it on the futon! The best thing is, despite how much the dog likes it, it's washable! So I can rinse off any doggy dirt before we have company. And it arrived 3 days early!

This really made my frumpy old sun-discolored davenport look really nice and elegant. Absolutely would recommend this product to anone looking to jazz up older furniture or looking for a new color for their existing futon (or davenport as in my case)

Looks downright fancy, and very soft suede

We had a double, extra-long futon (80 inch long mattress). I was a little worried that the cover wouldn't stretch to fit over it, but it did and it looks great. We bought the chocolate covered slipcover and it looks great. Highly recommended!
