There are really only six pieces to assemble on this item. There is the whole back section, the two sides, the seat and the two runners. This is really easy to assemble. Hope this help you with your decision.

Assembly

This rocker is ever so comfortable. The instructions were step by step allowing for easy assembly with the allen wrench. I'd recommend having a hammer, a magazine, & a nail to aid the assembly. The hammer is useful to push some parts together. I put the magazine on the wood to protect the finish. The nail is for that last piece to go into place. The nail makes a starter hole to complete the rocker. If you are super picky about a perfect finish, this may not be for you. There were light scratches on the finish. No bother to us.

Terrific Directions! Easy Assembly

I absolutely love this rocker. It's the first choice for visitors so I only get to use it when enjoying peace and quiet. It is extremely comfortable. I found the step-by-step instructions easy to follow, but  somehow I put the longer end of the runners in the front so now I'm in the process of switching them. If you are super picky you might want another choice as there are minor scratches on the surface of the wood.  I found a hammer and a magazine aided the final steps of assembly.

I bought this chair twice

I ordered 2 of these rockers; quality is pretty good for the price. One went together easily and quickly; the other not so much, the pre drilled dowel holes were not lined up exactly and the wood on the back split. I am waiting for the replacement to arrive, so I am still undecided overall because I am not sure which chair is the fluke yet

They shipped very quickly and were quick to assemble. One of the arms had a crack in it, but it is small and will either leave it alone or possibly try a little wood glue. It wasn't significant enough to consider returning. They are large and the wood is a pretty color. Hoping that they will stand the test of time!

These chairs appear to be attractive in photos but quality below par and finish really bad.

Less than expected

3rd party OJ Commerce who chair comes from impossible to deal with!  Ordered 2 chairs; one was not what we ordered and had wrong parts in the box where impossible to assemble.  (two big problems in second box).   Company did nothing but give us the run around.  Finally Walmart got involved and made it right for us and they in turn would take over dealing with OJ Commerce.
Walmart is good to work with and they stand with their customers.

Walmart has been trustworthy

Stain is uneven, even missing in spots.  Also stain is not completely dry.  Overall the wood is very light in weight.  I would consider another chair if you are looking for something other than a decoration piece.  Very disappointed with this purchase.  The style of the chair is great but unfortunately cheap.  I'm going to pay a little more and get a teak chair locally...
