This is our second glider from plow and hearth. We purchased our first one quite a few years ago, and I was so glad to see that it was still available. My husband put it together. The "glide" seems a little tight, a little stiff. He tells me he remembers the other one being that way, I don't want to criticize his do-it-yourself workmanship, so maybe he's right! Anyway, I love it, and the pad is very comfortable, too.

I was a bit unsure after reading negative reviews, but for the money, this is a great glider. It only took about an hour to put together, and I only needed a helper at a few points in the process. It's a beautiful piece and very comfortable.

Very Nice bench seat. It does not glide very easily, however we still enjoy this bench.

Great glider but difficult to assemble. Some screw holes did not line-up so the wrench didn't work well. A relief crew came to finish it for me. It is also very stiff and doesn't glide as easy as expected.

Nice glider for my patio.

Looks great, but doesn't glide more than a few inches. Husband said it wasn't that difficult to put together although he had problems with the screws and used ones he already had. I wasn't happy to read instructions saying it needed several coats of exterior polyurethane.

Great for the price

The treatment with teak oil sucks. It could come pretreated. Make sure you use gloves- it will peel your skin off and who knows what toxins get put into your blood. The eucalyptus itself is great. A long lasting sustainable wood.

The glider is nice, but like another reviewer noted, we find that the glider doesn't slide quick as smoothly or easily as I might like. But, the wood and design is pretty. The instructions for putting together the glider were horrible, especially the complex parts that create the mechanism for gliding. There is only a somewhat hard to read diagram, and it took my husband and me several tries to get all of the right components (washers, lock nuts, nuts, etc.) together because the diagram was really hard to read. So, it's pretty, but if you aren't super keen to put furniture together and read visual diagrams that are vague, this might not be for you.

Pretty glider that is hard to put together.

Looks nice and feels sturdy, however the glide motion is very minimal. We contacted customer service and tried their suggestions but they didn't improve the glider. It is just very very stiff. Had to return it.

The glider looks great! But................ It is incredibly uncomfortable to sit upon and IT DOES NOT GLIDE! Apparently it is designed only for looks and not for actually using to 'sit and glide'.

I would never buy this item again and would not recommend it
