It is a nice color and pretty. There is a lot more to this chair than other chairs. The chair is adjustable, three different settings and the sun shade is adjustable also. In the back of the chair there is a place to hold magazines, lotion, whatever other items for a day in the sun. I can relax and put my feet in the sand and there is a holder that I can put a water bottle in. 
It is comfortable to sit in, it would make you want to go to the beach more often, it would make for a relaxing day. The weight limit is 225 lbs., and the arms are wood which should keep it cool to the touch. You can remove the canopy, place it inside the chair and the chair snaps close. There are backpack straps, and it is lightweight aluminum so it is not cumbersome to carry. This season is over but it will definitely get use when the weather is permitting. It is very easy to keep everything with you that you will need for a relaxing, hassle free, enjoyable day at the beach. And it is very comfortable that makes using for the longer periods of time to give you that ultimate day at the beach.

This gets you in the mood and ready for the beach.

I received the MS backpack canopy chair and absolutely love it! It's been too cold to use it outside yet but works perfect as an extra seat in the living room. It is super comfortable and has a reclining position as well for relaxation. I love that it folds up and can be transported anywhere as a backpack. It is extremely easy to assemble and disassemble with just a few steps. The canopy is also an amazing feature for those brutal sunny days. I cannot wait to put this chair to use this spring! I recommend this chair to anyone who is looking for a portable chair for your outside activities and adventures!

Best chair ever

This is a very strongly constructed aluminum and wood beach chair. It holds a person weighing over 200 pounds easily and comfortably because the joints are strong, the aluminum is wide in diameter and thick in depth, and the seat is wide with thick polyester material. When sitting in the chair, the height above my head leaves a lot of room for a much taller person. The canopy frame is a narrower diameter aluminum so it can be slightly bended to make the canopy to higher or lower for the comfort of the user. The wooden arms are smooth, strong, thick, and made of a nice-looking glossed wood. The blue color is super bright and beautiful. This canopy beach chair is great to relax on, however, it's seat might not be high enough off the ground for some people to get up off of easily. I thought it would be taller off the ground because I compared it to the photos of the other beach chairs that were considerably lower looking. It is not as high up as I thought it was, but it is fine for most. I have a problem getting up off of it but there is no way to make it taller up from the ground. So, I simply put the chair next to something I can grab onto so I can get myself up easily then and it works fine for me. I am very, very happy with this beach chair and especially because it includes the canopy since the sun is so blazing hot, this canopy lets me now sit wherever I want to. Now, I do not just have to put the outside chair in the shade all the time.

PROTECTS FROM HOT SUN

LOVE this beach chair!!! Ever since our vacation house had beach chairs for our use, I've been on the lookout for an affordable, good quality chair. This fits the bill! The features are amazing: removable canopy, head rest, drink holder, and straps to carry it like a backpack so you can be hands free!! I just love this chair and can't wait to use it everyday once the weather warms up!

OBSESSED

This Mainstays Backpack Beach Chair is all you'll ever need for a relaxing day at the beach! I was delighted to see everything it offered, as I live near the beach and will be using it frequently.

First off, it's easy to carry, as it has straps attached that let you carry the chair as a backpack, leaving your hands free to carry other beach necessities. It looks to be very well-made, with wooden arms and an aluminum and steel frame, yet it is lightweight to carry. 

The back of the chair adjusts to three different positions, and its adjustable canopy shade will keep the sun off you, if you prefer. The canopy is detachable or can just fold backwards if you'd rather get some sun.
 
On one side of the chair below the arm, there is a pouch that will hold your water or soda bottle, and the net storage pouch across the back of the chair is large enough to hold your suntan lotion, book, shoes, etc. to keep them dry. No more items floating away with the surf! I love to sit close to the surf, and I can't count the times that I had to chase down my drink bottle and other items that the water had pulled out of the sand.

The chair is strong enough to hold 225 pounds, and it's so comfortable. There's even an attached pillow on which to rest your head.

Of course, it's winter here presently, but I can't wait for summer so that I can take my new chair over to the beach!

Awesome beach chair!

Not just for the beach. Take it to concerts, picnics or any other outdoor event. Provides comfort and style. Its too cold here to be outside. So to try it out I've used it to watch television. Believe it or not, its really comfortable. I can recline & stretch my legs out. The beautiful blue fabric is a weather-resistant polyester. The chair frame is aluminum and has wood armrests that won't heat up in the sun. The chair has 3 reclining positions. The canopy is removable and adjustable. It has a drink holder and pillow for your head. There is also a mesh pocket on the back to hold flipflops and/or towel. It weighs 8.6 pounds (which is a little heavy for me, but not too bad) and folds flat for storage. There are straps to hold it together when folding. Its very comfortable and the 13" seat height is not too difficult to get out of even for me with 2 rods & 10 screws in my back. I recommend this chair.

Great Beach Chair

I love this chair. It's super comfortable, easy to set up, can recliner and has a detachable canopy that you can use on those super sunny days. The color is vibrant and attractive and the fabric feels durable and supportive. I also love the cup holders to keep my favorite drink within reach. It's really a wonderful, attractive piece and I was really happy to add it to my deck.

Perfect for a sunny day

This chair is light weight & convenient, but the canopy adjustment worries me, due to the aluminum construction. You have to bend the attachments that go onto the chair and it will not store properly while carrying the chair as a backpack. Other than the canopy, the rest of the design such as the net pocket can hold is convenient items such as hats, towels & cell phone. It is an easy set up & the recline feature is very nice! I would recommend this item to a friend, to use it on a short hike to the beach or park.

Portable Canopy Chair

Whenever you go to the beach or spend time outdoors, it's important to have a chair to seat you and allow you to enjoy your time. This chair is definitely rich in features and I think it would make a great seasonal chair. I do think one thing that can improve is the quality of the straps. After about 11 months, the straps are slightly coming apart. I do admit that we used the chair a good amount, but that's where I see room for improvement. A few notes about this chair:
 - Comfortable. It's very comfortable to sit in. It's definitely more comfortable than the camping chairs and other chairs as well. It also has a built in pillow to make the experience even more comfortable.

 - Wooden armrests - aesthetic and doesn't get as hot in the sun. That's well-pleasing to your eyes and to your skin.
 - Drink holder. Gotta get hydrated when you're outside/in the sun. It makes it easier to store the drink and prevent it from being accidentally knocked over.

 - Backpack folding. There are two straps in the back, so you can wear this chair once it's folded for easy transportation. There are also straps to lock the chair in a closed position so that you don't get hurt.

 - Canopy that locks in - no fly always and adjusts with springs so that sun can stay away from eyes. Also, you can remove the canopy and use it like a regular chair if you want to catch some sun. 

 - Back netted pocket. The pocket is netted so that sand doesn't stay in the pocket like in other chairs. Well thought out and very practical to have a pocket in the chair.

 - Adjustable sitting positioning 3 positions. The sitting positions are from about 55% recline to about 75% recline. 

Overall, this is a feature rich chair and it's very comfortable. I do think that the straps fraying is a big downside but I do want to mention that about 11 months passed since we started using the chair - so it did last a bit.

Feature Rich Chair

Can't wait until the weather is nice again and I can use this at the beach. So far it seems good. Love the little mesh pocket on the back. The arms of the chair are used to lean back or sit up and the canopy! The canopy tip is adjustable and I'm ready for the beach already. I do wish it was a little taller and not so low to the ground, not a good chair for the elderly or even someone with back problems, might be hard to get up from.

Sits low

I like the sturdiness of the chair and that it can strap right on your back.  The shade that goes over the chair is a piece of crap, and you actually have to bend the metal to get it to fold back up.  I wouldn't recommend until they can figure out a better way to get the shade to fold without bending and breaking the metal bars.

Chair is nice, but the shade is crap.
