Very attractive, well built folding chair.  I bought 4 and couldn't be happier!  Went together perfectly with the pre-drilled holes.  Sitting in the chair, it is so sturdy, you would not know they can fold up.  I had no problems.  I did have a problem with the matching swing bench I purchased last year but they were so helpful that I came back to buy the 4 chairs.  The chairs are not inexpensive so coming back because of their service means an awful lot!

These chairs are superior quality. There are cheaper Adirondack chairs but how long will they last? Not sure - but these will definitely last for years. Very comfortable and nice lean back feature as well.

Awesome quality

These Highwood adirondack chairs are the perfect summer chair. I love that they can be wiped or hosed down easily and require no oiling or other special care. They are very durable and do not fade or peel. They are surprisingly comfortable—we don't even use pillows or cushions. They work well for both tall and short people. The reclining feature is a great bonus and the chairs are comfortable at each setting. They fold easily and look like they are of very nice quality (they don't look plastic/cheap; looks like wood). The Nantucket blue color is absolutely beautiful. The chairs were super easy to assemble and arrived quickly and undamaged. I highly recommend purchasing these chairs from Ashley's Furniture. Great shopping experience! Perfect product!

Perfect Chairs!

Attractive, comfortable and sturdy. We are both nearly 6'0” and fit comfortably. Nice wide arms great for your drink, phone, sunglasses, etc. Additionally, unlike others, these chair backs adjust to three positions, and are foldable for storage. We are so pleased with them that I just ordered two matching ottomans.

I would buy again

My husband and I put these chairs together last weekend and we love them.   Easy assembly.   They were purchased to be used by our fire pit.  They are very comfortable, sturdy, and will not be effected by the weather since they are not real wood.  The color (coastal teak)  is a very nice grey/brown.  Awesome warranty, too!   We will be purchasing 2 more of these chairs and another folding side table, too!   Very happy with this purchase!   They look and feel like real wood without the maintenance!

Great for our fire pit!

I read many reviews and comparisons between brands prior to purchasing two of these chairs. Any cons I had read prior to purchasing I have yet to experience myself. The chairs were rather easy to put together with the tools and hardware provided other than using a screwdriver I had on hand. They feel sturdy, the right height, and rather comfortable for both my boyfriend and I (both of us are around 5'8 average build for reference). I love the durability aspect of them and plan on enjoying them for many years to come. I read several comments about the weathered acorn color not being depicted accurately online. It is not a two toned look in real life as it may appear in some pictures. But in my opinion it is a rich darker brown that goes quite nicely with my existing patio furniture. Yes, I would have liked to pay less but the price on Hayneedle was quite a steal compared to other sites and you get what you pay for. So far, no complaints and I hope to purchase the foot rests and more matching pieces in the future!

These Adirondack chairs are so comfy and affordable! Nice solid chair that have three adjustable positions and fold for easy storage. Easy to assemble and roomy.  The best part....they look just like wood, but without the upkeep!  Got the Weathered Acorn color and goes nicely with our new fire pit.

brough 8 pieces of Highwood furniture - 5 adirondacks, 2 chairs and 1 swing.  4 of the 8 had QC issues where holes, screws, metal insert or properly placed pre-drilled holes were missing.  If they could correct these issues, they seem to be well built, long lasting and easy to maintain pieces.

Quality Control issues

The amount of assembly required for this chair is ridiculous for the price you pay.  I can understand needing to attach the arms given the shipping.  However, you pretty much have to assemble the whole thing with pilot holes that are inadequate.  If you like building furniture, I recommend this chair.  However, if you are a normal person without much woodwork experience, get something else.  I wish I could comment on how comfortable the chair is, but it is still sitting in pieces on my floor.
