CURT class 1 trailer hitches are the lightest-duty hitches of our rear mount receiver lineup. They are engineered for reliability, welded together with quality American steel and blasted clean for a smooth finish. Tested to meet the strict demands of the industry, this CURT class 1 hitch has a capacity to tow up to 2,000 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 200 lbs. of tongue weight. This means it can handle a variety of small trailers such as single-axle utility trailers, canoe and kayak trailers, dirt bike trailers and more. It can also accept a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack, making it a very useful addition to cars with limited cargo space (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). Class 1 hitches feature a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" receiver tube opening and are typically mounted on compact cars, full-size cars and some smaller crossover SUVs, minivans and compact SUVs. This particular hitch is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Volvo C70 T5 convertible (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). It features a square tube frame and comes with a hitch pin and clip and all necessary installation hardware. Each CURT class 1 hitch is co-cured with a liquid Bonderite coating and a high-gloss black powder coat finish that provide a lasting defense against rust, wear and harmful UV rays. Like all CURT receiver hitches, this class 1 hitch is backed by a one-year finish warranty and a limited lifetime warranty.

The installation is very easy, but you need the back of the vehicle higher than normal to be able to see and access the installation holes, I purchase couple Ramps from Walmart and it worked fine. Once you are ready to lift the hitch into position you will need an extra hand.

I researched hitches and found several on line and in local shops. I purchased mt hitch based on the reviews posted. I received the hitch sooner than expected, the installation instructions were easy to follow, the install took me about 30 minuts from start to finish. I will admit I took the time to thread a bolt into each frame nut to insure the frame nut was free of rust or something. Hitch look great and works great.

Reciever hitch review

This is a really good hitch. The hitch is very sturdy. The hitch looks good on a Nissan 2011 Frontier. The hitch is neatly hidden underneath the bumper. It mounts directly to the frame of the truck. All the parts needed came with the hitch. The black looks good. No cons so far.

Very good hitch

My only complaint on this hitch is the glue they use to put on the specifications decal that comes on the side of the hitch. It is ugly and not easy to remove. This my only complaint, everything about the hitch is perfect for my vehicle. Installed on a 2016 Mercedes Metris Van.

Received and Installed exactly as advertised

The hitch fits well and looks good. I have not used it yet but I see no reason why it wouldn't function as it should. The shipping was only a couple of days.
I purchased a truck from a dealer and he installed the hitch so I don't know how hard it was to install.

price was right compared to other manufacturers as well as appearance. installation directions an steel fish lines to get between frame worked perfectly.. tied hitch end to floor jack so it would go up straight and level, minor cut aways on heat shields then bolt down, torque down and your ready to tow,

Trailer hitch

Perfect fit,took about 45minutes to install by myself and my floor jack. I would highly recommend this product.

Easy install

Easy to install, not too expensive, and a substantial piece of metal. Much better than the Class II trailer hitch that came with the truck (where the ball fits through the bumper, and you inevitably end up grinding through the bumper). This will definitely get the job done.

Workman's hitch receiver

The hitch was well made , the welds are near perfection, the paint finish is even glossy, attractive and looks like it will hold up well. It was well engineered and and had a straightforward install but you'll want a savvy buddy to help. I was very frustrated after the install when I went to install the insert and the pin wouldn't go in! QC missed that the holes weren't drilled to proper size and they're large enough that most people won't have a drill bit to fit. Luckily a mechanic buddy of mine took care of it for me , but it was frustrating nonetheless.

The lockplates are far too big to fit inside the bumper bar for installation of the 2 lower bolts. When I contacted the vendor too see if they had a workaround I received no reply.
