Amazing sticks!

Stick feel is definitely subjective, but for me (larger hands) these are amazing. The balance of these sticks is amazing, coupled with the more compact tips (feels like a perfect balance between an acorn and barrel tip) is really a great combo. If a Vic 5A is the Cadillac of sticks this is a Ferrari. I was a little worried about the painted finish, but I ended up really liking the feel of the finish.

Perfect Balance

I’ve purchased several of these sticks over the last year or so and find them immensely playable. The only down side is the orange paint which can be irritating as it settles on your drum heads. The other issue is that they can also vary (slightly) in weight - Dave has mentioned this, himself. So, one pair of sticks can vary in feel from another but it’s not extreme - just a few grams or so. It would be nice to get rid of the paint and refine the manufacturing process for more consistency of final product (you’d think this would be a no brainer). Bottom line, they’re worth a try!!

Perfectly Balanced For Me

Balance is all personal taste for sure but these sticks are perfectly balanced for me.
I find them so well balanced that I ignore the annoying paint, the fact that it has a fragile acorn tip and that it"s a signature model...
These would be a 5/5 if they were natural finished and were available with a barrel tip. There is a similar Dave Weckl stick with a barrel tip but it"s a 1/4" longer and doesn"t play as nicely for me so after trying out 20 or more pairs of sticks as close to these dimensions as I could find from every manufacturer, I"ve settled on these as my default go to stick.
