Fatter stick = less cramping

I agree with the previous reviewer. Great stick for kit - NOT too heavy for lighter music. Also, as I've gotten older, I've noticed I have a lot bigger problem with cramping on skinnier sticks. Of course, good warm up is very helpful too (+ bananas, hydrate, ...). I also LOVE the balance of this stick. This is the stick I use most of the time. Like the wood bead too. Everyone is different, but I personally feel you can't go wrong with these 2Bs.

2B all the way!

I've tried countless sticks over the years but keep coming back to 2B's for the balance and positive feel. The trick to using 2B's is kit to fight them but to use their mass to your advantage. When you learn to do that you'll be amazed at the beautiful balance that makes them feel kinda weightless. Everyone talks about them being for heavy rock. I disagree. They're good also for light touch playing due to their balance. Again, the key is not to fight them but to "go with" them and they disappear. Just a beautiful stick that I never tire of playing. One little quibble: I bought a pair that had quite a heavy lacquer on them which I don't like. The most recent ones I've bought however don't have this - it's a much lighter, almost "naked" feel which is much nicer. Hopefully the original pair was just old stock and VF won't be doing that any more. Another good reason to always buy sticks in person rather than sight unseen.
