The Most Formidable StudioLive Yet

The StudioLive 32SC packs a lot of power for a compact console — it’s PreSonus’ most formidable offering yet. This 32-channel rackmountable digital mixer boasts a dual-core FLEX DSP engine with enough muscle to drive 286 simultaneous processors, and then some. What’s more, its FLEX FX multi-effects processor vaunts four slots of reverb emulations and delays with four dedicated effects buses. Benefit from easy expandability thanks to built-in AVB networking. Enjoy versatile operation by virtue of the 32SC’s 16 Flex Mixes. Shape and polish each channel to perfection courtesy of PreSonus’ lauded Fat Channel processing. The PreSonus StudioLive 32SC includes a comprehensive software suite, which enables you to make top-flight recordings right from the get-go.

Dual-core FLEX DSP Engine boasts impressive processing muscle

The StudioLive 32SC is packed with serious power. Its dual-core FLEX DSP engine possesses enough processing muscle to run 286 simultaneous processors, 26 mix buses, and 40 inputs. And its FLEX FX multi-effects processor includes four slots of reverb emulations and delays with four dedicated effects buses. At Sweetwater, we’re impressed by the sheer amount of raw power that’s lurking under the 32SC’s hood.

Three options for multitrack recording

The PreSonus StudioLive 32SC gives you three efficient options for multitrack recording. A built-in SD card recorder allows you to record all inputs simultaneously, and you can also play back from the SD card to do virtual soundchecks without a computer. You can also connect to a computer via USB for 64 channels of recording and playback — almost twice that of previous generations. And the StudioLive 32SC supports AVB over Ethernet too, enabling you to interface directly with PreSonus NSB stage boxes and EarMix 16M personal monitor mixers.

Pristine XMAX preamps for sound reinforcement and recording

Simply put, the 16 Class A XMAX preamps onboard the StudioLive 32SC sound like they belong in the studio. Their high headroom and low noise floor deliver extremely clean and clear sound you simply wouldn’t expect from a live console. And mic preamp settings are fully recallable, which is a huge time saver when you mix or record the same band or show on a regular basis.

Flex Mixes offer a ton of freedom for any mixing application

It can be frustrating trying to use the same mixer for many different tasks. Thanks to Flex Mixes, that’s not the case with the PreSonus StudioLive 32SC. Flex Mixes can be set up as aux mixes, subgroups, or matrix mixes, depending on what your show demands. Need a ton of different monitor mixes for a large group of musicians? No problem. You can create up to 16 aux sends if you need to. Same with subgroups and matrix mixes — perfect for theater productions and multi-zone venues, respectively. Basically, the 32SC’s Flex Mixes allow you to adapt your mixer to the mixing task at hand, instead of adapting your workflow to the limitations of your mixer.

Advanced processing for EQ, compression, and effects

The StudioLive series of consoles has always been known for outstanding effects and processing capabilities, and the StudioLive 32SC takes it even further. Its FLEX FX multi-effects processor supplies you with four internal effects buses that are loaded with a combination of reverbs, delays, and other effects that you can route any channel through. On top of that, Fat Channel processing offers vintage EQ and compressor models on every channel. And if you crave even more plug-in processing power, then you can bolster your 32SC with PreSonus’ Fat Channel Collection (sold separately).

Superb software package included

Your purchase includes Studio One Artist and everything you need to start recording via your computer. Plus, to take your recordings to the next level, you get the Studio Magic plug-in suite. This extensive collection of popular plug-ins includes emulations of classic studio gear from legendary manufacturers, adding hundreds of dollars in extra value. Punch up your mix bus with the Brainworx bx_opto compressor, add ambient reverb with Lexicon MPX-i Reverb, fire up transients with SPL's Attacker Plus, and much more. And since these plug-ins are available in AAX, VST, and AU formats, they're compatible with any DAW.

PreSonus StudioLive 32SC

The PreSonus StudioLive 32SC Digital Mixer has a very clean and strong audio output signal for a Digital Mixing Board!! There was a small learning curve on this mixer compared to my older StudioLive 16.4.2 Digital Mixer. The first gig I used it on with my band we received a lot of compliments on how clean and good the system sounded as compared to my older StudioLive 16.4.2 Digital mixer!! I would highly recommend the PreSonus StudioLive 32SC Rackmountable Digital Mixer!!

Totally changed my home studio

I can't say enough good things about this mixer and the capabilities/possibilities with it. I had been using a small audio interface for years and thought that sounded good, but running the same equipment through this mixer, everything just sounds better. I also love the fact that I can control everything about the mixer from my PC with Universal Control. It isn't possible for me to have the mixer directly in front of me in my Home Studio/Office. I have it on a table to my left with a large monitor and my keyboard directly in front of me. When tracking something like an acoustic guitar, I need to be able to control both my DAW and sometimes the mixer at the same time. I can do it all with the keyboard utilizing Universal Control. Another great time saver feature for me is being able to save several different mixer Scenes (ie...Record Vocals, Record Acoustic Guitar, Record Electric Guitar, Record Acoustic & Vocals, etc...) and being able to quickly recall those saved Scenes without having to remember how I had everything setup last time. The smaller footprint of this mixer vs the 32SX was right for me while still having the option to add the stage box and add additional physical I/O later if needed. So far this is one of the best music investments I have ever made.

Love this mixer!

I bought this in early November 2023. I use this as a hobby mostly and do mostly church related events. This mixer is far more than I will ever need and even know how to use properly. I have grown up with analog boards of all kinds and my first digital mixer was the QSC TouchMix 8. That is a great starter mixer for people who can deal with just 8 channels. Then I had a Behringer x32 Producer which was a nice mixer but not very user friendly for people that do not use it often. This mixer has a very well laid out interface and it also has a very nice and easy to use IPAD app which is very important to me. I will spend most of the time using this mixer working from the IPad. Presonus has outdone itself with the thoughtful layout of the touchscreen, the Fat Channel layout and the Aux layout. With just a little use I am quickly navigating this mixer and can see myself being very comfortable using it in a live setup. I love the color options that are available for each channel and the how easy it is to label the channel digitally. I wish Presonus would have allowed the scribble area to also be color coordinated. The directions to get it set up to remotely control via the iPad are not great and I was frustrated but just one call to the tech support at Sweetwater and they got me going. Now I connect right up. You must have a router connected to control this mixer with the iPad which is different from the QSC which had a built in wireless dongle. Overall I am very happy with this new toy of mine. I just cant wait to use it again. I do plan on getting a road case for it as I can see out getting banged up easily. I found a case by Horizon that was reasonably priced.

Amazing Sound

I've my share of mixers (analog and digital) and this one is incredible. Amazing sound and versatile. I use it for live shows and with Studio One 6. It takes awhile to learn everything about this mixer. But, after watching every video I could find about it, I'm never going back to analog mixers. Get this mixer. You'll will love it.

Sweetwater and PreSonus go way back, and that makes a lot of sense. Like Sweetwater, PreSonus is largely staffed by active musicians, songwriters, live sound techs, and engineers, and like Sweetwater, their culture shows up in everything they do. Early on, PreSonus broke ground by offering super-affordable audio interfaces that brought quality recording to home studio engineers everywhere. In the following years, we've been with them as they introduced a powerful, artist-friendly DAW, groundbreaking digital mixers, and more - all products we at Sweetwater use ourselves. One thing that's never changed, even as PreSonus has branched out into new territory, is that they've always done everything possible to provide you with the best value, and we're proud to stand by their products.
