Best grips and weight available (for me)

I have had hand issues for years and was on and off with my playing because of that. In the mid '90s I started using Easton Ahead (now just Ahead) sticks with the best success I had found at that point. I used them until 2017, when I found a stick maker offering an "Oval Hand Grip". My problem with the Ahead sticks is that the rough finish of the grip smooths out somewhat quickly. I used the grip tape and gloves, together and separately but had various issues with all of that.

As to the sticks I started using in 2017, the Oval Hand Grips helped and I ordered 7As in 16.5" and also had butt ends made with the same diameter and length. They were the best I could find at the time. I did have issues with inconsistent weight over all and the sticks seemed to feel a bit different from one to the other. Recently I realized that the grip was hampering my speed, so I set out on a new search.

I have recently tried all of the brands Sweetwater sells with any sort of a dip or gripping finish. For me, the Zildjians were the easiest to hold on to and play. I tried the Black grip ones first, but prefer these longer ones. Not a fan of the green, and I really wish they would make them with Nylon tips but they declined my request, and I was thinking about ordering a batch to last the rest of my life. These are the top of the heap, for me, for now. :)

LOVE THESE STICKS

i am not a drummer, just like tapping out rhythms on stuff and send through guitar pedals to create unique sounds, so my review comes from that perspective - these sticks are perfectly straight, very light, and very fast and responsive, with a fast bounce - have a more or less round tip thats perfect for me as i can hit stuff at any angle and get the same sound, great for just tapping beats in improvised objects - the dipped green handles seem to be double dipped for a very smooth and secure grip but not too "sticky" so can change grip fast and easy easily, highly recommend these
