Most Popular Rotosound Bass String Ever!

Rotosound is one of the first string companies to produce round-wound stainless steel bass strings. Introduced in 1962 Swing Bass strings changed the sound of the electric bass instantly. The favorite string of many players including Billy Sheehan, John Paul Jones and Geddy Lee, Rotosound strings are available in all popular gauges and scale lengths. The steel used to produce these strings is unique, combined with a highly secretive manufacturing process. Warm Punchy and Bright

I've been playing Rock music for over 35 years, professionally about 30. Round Wound Roto Sound bass strings have always been my companion and best friend, on stage and in the studio. John Entwistle was my hero, knowing he had a say on their production is all I had to know. Hands down the best Rock and Roll bass strings in the market!

Don't take my word for it, get a set and see for yourself!

punch

Ive used Rotosound over 35 years and they just have a punch no other string ive played has. I use this 5 string set on my Yamaha bb passive and it really can do any style of music. Ive played on pro gigs with artists from rock to country to soul. They just work!

Plays well, sounds great!

I just put a set of these strings on my Sterling By Music Man (SBMM) S.U.B. Ray5 bass. They sound great and impressed my sound man who was also a bassist. He was impressed with the jazz sound of these strings when I cranked up the treble.

These strings also are much better to fret than the original Ernie Ball strings that came with the SBMM. The Ernie Balls would buzz a lot, but these Rotosounds would not. So, better sound and better playability means that these strings cannot be beat! Only disadvantage: stings have somewhat a rough texture. To me, the advantages outweigh this disadvantage. I will stick to this brand for my SBMM for now on.
