Basic Mixer

Let me start by saying that this works well and is about as basic as basic can get which is what I wanted. I purchased it hoping to run a drum machine and amp through it so I can use headphones to practice. Unfortunately I didn't realize it is a mono output so only one side of the headphones puts out sound.
It functions quite well and the price is very fair. The only improvement I would like to see is a stereo output and an actual on/off switch. You have to unplug it to turn off the power.
Lastly, another thing I like is that this thing is tiny. I wasn't expecting it to be as small as it is. Having said all that I feel like this would be useful in a band practice setting where multiple instruments can be run through a monitor setup so everyone can hear each other clearly without cranking the volume.

Only allowed 5 stars.

I ordered a Behringer Micromix MX400 Line Mixer to be able to have my guitar and a bass play through my Fender LT25 amp. I don't intend to play to large audiences as this is just for practice at home. At the same time I also ordered a Fender ABY box through Amazon for twice the price. The next day I received a text from Jacob Stutzman, Sales Engineer thanking me for my order and making sure that my order is right for the intended application. While he did recommend the ABY box and explained all the technical aspects between the two boxes, he did assure me that if it doesn't meet my needs that it returnable. Delivery was fast, one day behind Amazon. I kept the Behringer and returned the Fender mixer for the following reasons: 1) Behringer has 4 input and four separate volume controls. 2) Behringer mixer came with a power adapter while the Fender mixer requires you to purchase a separate adapter. 3) Fender mixer is a stomp box without an input volume control to manage distortion and one instrument over powering the other. And 4) customer service make sure that all your questions or concerns are answered - Big thanks to Jason! 6 star overall rating - 5 for the product, 7 for the customer service = avg of 6 stars.

What I needed

I got my MX400 last week. Thank you Sweetwater.

I now have all my synths going into Elektron Analog Four input so I can use the delay, chorus and verb because I think using them sounds really nice..

Great for Jam sessions and Gigs.

I got this unit staring out for my small synth collection. Eventually I got a decent mixer and didn't know to do with it until I brought my drum machine and synth to a jam session and it was immediately super convenient to save inputs on other people's mixers and amps so I didn't have bring my own. The output is mono I believe so that is the only downside. Nice hard metal shell which is great for being mobile and the volume knobs feel great and very useful.

Loopers best friend!

I use it with the boss looper pedal, and plug four instruments through it out to my tech 21 power amp. I'm telling you it makes live looping a breeze. I keep the bass clean through one line, my roland jdxi with drums through another, the delay/reverb pedal and my electric guitar through the third.all thru one output to my loop pedal.10/10
