Excellent interface solution for synths

This device works great on my Mac and is very quiet when you correctly adjust your input level in your computer's system settings. It's the perfect solution to connect a synth with stereo output to your computer, without the need for a bulky mixer or audio interface. It's a waste of money to buy either a mixer or audio interface with XLR mic pre-amps when all you need to do is connect a synth to a computer.

Best Avenue to Drive Analog Audio to Digital Destination

Behringer's Line2USB is one of the most important tools in our radio station/video production toolbox. So many of the audio mixers we use don't have USB outputs, so Behringer helps us get it done. Since soundcards in many consumer computers (laptops especially) no longer provide both an input and output, being able to provide a USB audio input is vital to great audio.

We use the industry-standard (44.1, 16 bit, stereo) and the Line2USB matches perfectly. We've never had a problem with the cable and if you need 48k instead, it will do the job.

Want to look for an alternative? Good luck because you'll have to settle for a hardware solution (box) to do the job for you. We've found some other manufacturers that provide a mono 1/4" to USB but none that offer the stereo to USB. That's why I always try to have a spare sitting around.

BTW we use this in five different studios (some have two installed to feed different computers, ie audio-only and video combined) and with two remote broadcast units as well.

Perfect for mixers that don't have USB output built in

I'm using this with my Yamaha MG06X which doesn't have the capability of using a USB cable but I used this project from the L/R output ports to my PC usb cable and it works like a charm. Windows 10 saw it and automatically instaled the drivers for instant use.

Line2usb

So I guess I'm one of the first people to buy one of these. What can I say about it, it works great. No problems. My computer recognized the usb input without any problem and the cable had surprisingly less feedback noise then I expected. I'm using my setup to record podcast audio so not sure how it holds up to instrumentals. All in all I'd recommend this connector. It's simple and provides some good audio.
