The JBL IRX-115S fortifies your IRX active speaker system with 1,300 watts of rafter-shaking power. This active subwoofer’s 15-inch woofer includes a 3-inch voice coil, and it produces smooth, detailed low end all the way down to 35Hz. Jbl IRX-115S

I already had 2 of these subs for live sound. They were enough for small venues up to about 200 people. Now I'm doing larger venues up to 500 people and it wasn't enough so I ordered 2 more of these. I am now using 4 subs with the jbl eon612s as mains. It's enough for the larger venues. Great bottom end and great mids and highs from the eon612s.

Best bang for the buck under $

I wanted more low end for my PA system and this was the answer. Recently did 5 hours of music for our neighborhood block party. Over 100 people in our party and they all loved the output from the sub. I only drive them at half power and it was plenty of clean low end punch. No distortion whatsoever. Love this sub!!

Like a thunderstorm (in a good way)

You know that feeling in your torso that you get when low thunder is rumbling during a storm? Add this to a pair of JBL IRX-112s and you'll recreate it. The sub really rounds out the sound, is easy to use, and doesn't overpower. Mine came with a small cosmetic defect, but the Sweetwater customer service was very prompt in replying and extremely accommodating.

This is a little Bulldog !!!

Bought one to go with my EV 15" Powered Tops.
Wow, just wow ! This little Dog Woof's.
I was needing that bottom end to bring out the Kick Drum and Bass Guitar. Accomplished.

This speaker is fool proof ... basically just plug it in and it's good to go.
I call it a Bulldog because it is compact, stout, and seriously tough with 1300 watts of clean low end.
For the price point, you will be happy and JBL is known for quality. Buy one or two let the Dog bark, let it woof... you'll love it!

Great sub, sounds great BUT!

This is a rocking sub for the money, great build quality and materials, super as hell, and sounds amazing, it's pretty accurate if you set it up correctly, I crossover at 100hz. The only thing I HATE, is the automatic shutoff, and you have to turn it back on each time you leave it with out audio for awhile, they need to have the option, "on, auto, off" let me chose, it's a class D amp, so it's not amplifying till it see an audio signal, so it not using much power just idling. I would of given it 5, but it got dinged for that issue.
