My Go-To Pick for Guitar

I've been playing guitar and bass for about 39 years now and every so often I'll swap out my picks to get different tones and comfort levels. Over the years I have gravitated towards a pick that gives me that perfect balance thinness for strumming and thickness for faster single note playing so I'm usually going for a 1.14-1.5mm pick. I few years ago I switched to Dunlop Ultex sharps 1.14, 1.40, and 2.0mm because I liked the firmness of the pick and it gave me a little more bite on the top end...it could get a little clicky butI adjusted my technique a bit and was pretty happy with them overall.

Recently, as I was working up to some faster playing I was finding that the Ultex was slipping a bit when my hands get sweaty because of the relative slickness of the Ultex material...it has a matte finish which is great when your hands are reasonably dry but if they're not it makes it hard to maintain the accuracy I'm looking for at faster single note playing speed.

I'd heard good things about the Prodigy picks and picked up a multi pack to see if I connected with any of them. After a few hours of playing around with them I found the Prodigy Standard was exactly what I was looking for. They play smoothly, the grip on them is solid...they stay right where you want them, the point and bevel are perfect for quick accurate single note playing and strumming and the material isn't too bright like the Ultex which allows me to use it on my acoustics and electrics (the Ultext sounded too bright to be used on most of my acoustics) and the shape combined with the smaller size gave me just enough support to feel comfortable holding it but was also out of the way enough to keep things accurate (some of the smaller ones in the multi pack allowed for faster playing but I felt I wasn't able to control them as well as the Standard).

So yeah...I'm sold. I might try using the large one for the multi pack for bass but I'm pretty happy with my current bass pick so I probably won't switch. I think I'll get a pack of 2mm ones too and see what's what. Definitely worth considering if speed and accuracy for single note playing is a consideration for you but you still need it to be comfortable with rapid strumming. Check 'em out.

The Perfect Guitar Pick/Plectrum!

I've been buying and trying over a 100 different Pick Brands over the last year and this is my new absolute favorite Plectrum!

It's perfect!
The shape is excellent and
the beveled edges are amazing!

The surface is smooth and easy to hold,
but the pick is also solid and firm too!

(My second favorite is the Dunlop Ultex SHARP 2.0mm)

Just get em dude

I've been using these picks for a few months now and they are the best I've personally ever used. As advertised they give you a level of precision and control that I've never experienced, due to they're shape, size, and material/texture. They take a little adjustment at first for sure but nothing you can't handle.
I've never been attached to a pick before, nor has a pick ever "made me a better guitarist". But I am now on both counts.

...dude just try it, I don't write reviews but this was one of the best purchases I've made in my life.

The Best

I found this pick on the floor at a Guitar Center. It felt good and I went to buy some but they didn't sell them. I took it home and used it then loved it. I always used big Dunlop Jazz III nylons and this is better. It has a great non-slip grip but I etch them anyway.
It is now my go to pick. It is sharp and smooth without making pick noise.
They're a bit pricey but worth it.
If only I didn't keep misplacing them, they last forever.
This is the greatest pick ever! Love it.
